Car is a 1968 dart oil pan is a 394. What year did they start using 2 nub front and rear gaskets vs 6 nub? Has anyone used the 2 nub on a 6 nub location? I ordered the correct gaskets just wanted some info. Thanks jesse

Well there supposed to but seems my kit has the one, but just found the ones removed from the old pan and they used the curved with 2 nubs on it not sure how much it maters or what one seals better. Just looking for some advice.

i want to say the move from the multi-pokey seal to the lip seal with just two (bigger) nubs was about 72(?)

i've done every which way on them darn things over the years: cut the nubs off the early ones, enlarged the holes for the later ones, drilled the pan for the early ones, etc. etc. etc.

i like to run the correct one for the pan. or if you're in a jam, and don't want to wait you can just run a fat bead of rightstuff™

Appreciate the feed back seems that what previous owner did used newer for older pan.

I've used both and not necessarily noticed a difference between the 2, BUT that being said if I had a choice I would go with the multi nippled version.
