got hit today, neighbor turned me in about my cars. she is a lesbian and dont like us working on our cars. she says all men are weird and jerks, told her to look in the mirror. whats this world coming too.

aren't lesbians just men without penises?- I know I consider myself a lesbian trapped in a mans body:downtown:

My Neighbors call the cops on me all the time for painting little parts with my detail gun. I'm sure the cops have better things to do, like go after real criminals like drug dealers and theft. It seems to be a weekly thing for me. I also get the complaints about to many cars. City has tried to tow my duster several times, I dont park it on the street anymore now ever.

Eighteen years ago we came home from being out of town for a week and found one of our cars had been towed from out of my driveway and was a day away from the crusher! It had been backed in to the driveway so the expired registration couldn't be seen from the street, but one of my neighbors thought he was 'Mr. Law and Order' and called the city on it. I got the car back after paying impounds and storage. It was my 15th Anniversary Hurst Olds and I was really pissed!!! My neighbor's since moved on to terrorize Ohio, but needless to say we didn't have much to say to each other over the next few years although I did wave :thebirdm: to him once in awhile.

cars out back, they could only get me for oil on the ground. had to dig it up and take it to the land fill.

I feel your pain. I had the public nuisance card played on me back in 1996. As a struggling college student, it basically forced me to give up my 71 Challenger. :banghead:

maybe , will ask the guy next week , coming back to look around. I could have got her into trouble when her dog bit me last year, but I didnt. no more mister nice guy.

It's amazing how the normal law abiding citizen is written up for a petty thing, yet the person who is always commiting felonies is looked past and forgotten. It might be because the law abiding one will pay the fines etc.. whereas the criminal won't. We're easy money for criminals, even the local gov't ones.

Depending on your state, most have a 1-year statute of limitations on a personal injury case.

Just think of all that pain and suffering you've endured ... the scars that brought a prompt end to your aspiring Chippendale's modeling career and the resultant impact on your financial well being (aka loss of earnings), intentional infliction of emotional distress (because you have to see and hear the dog who bit you every day now), and harassment and retaliation (since she's calling the law on you now) are all viable causes of action that come to mind.

Hey, 19 years in the legal field before I turned pro powder coater have got to be good for something. LMAO

Best of luck with the lezbo bioch next door.

Wow people these days... That is sad to hear ! Fell into the same situation a few months ago. Had the cops on me for my duster being in the driveway. Came home from work one day with red tag notice on the door stating I had 30 days to follow city ordinance or a nice fine will soon follow. Being a part time worker with crappy hours and crappy pay, as well as being a full time college student and trying to complete my duster to drive to college, I was kinda mad when told my Duster was a "Junk Vehicle." lol Needless to say spoke to the cops and they granted me more time to get it on the road... it's been 3 months since haha.8)

(one of the cool things about being "old" is having lots of stories)

When I was growing up, we had a ton of cars at the house in town. One for granny, pop, mom, older sis, bro, me, then there were the Packards and Studebakers my dad had. Well, one snotty neighbor called the cops and they said we had to "hide them from view". So my dad, mile mannered fellow that he was, figured the best way to deal with this was to build a large wooden double gate. Was about 12 feet tall and 20 feet across. UGLY as sin, but met the code and did what the city said had to be done.

As you might well guess, when the gates finally succumbed to the elements, the neighbor in question said nothing about the cars. They didn't look nearly as bad as the gate.

thats the thing i love about living out in the country. our neighbor dont give a damn about what we do. right now we got 5 cars in the driveway (2 5th aves,2 decrepids, and my dart) and we got about 18 or 19 vehicles on our property (about to get rid of a dart for scrap) we always makin noise in the garage in the summer (last year we fired up the demo car in the wee hours of the night) we just dump our waste oil in the woods. and everytime they drive by they wave, and i think they look forward to seen what were doin everytime they drive by lol

also forgot to add that we have a feild right next door (right across the road from the neighbors house) and when we have a demo car or enduro car we beat the piss outta those cars in the field, whipin donuts racin around the trees and what not, then pull out onto the road and stand on it back to the drive way (got a opening between the yard and field) and these vehicles have NO exhaust so they are LOUD!! :D

I had a friend who had the wonderful neighbors who were of the Green Kind. Naturists to the point of way beyond out there special. Everything was organic or recycled. Well they had this huge Dutch Elm tree that overhung my buddies house. And of course he wanted it trimmed and they of course refused. He even offered to have a Arborist come in to make sure they only cut certain limbs and such. But they protested and fought over it. To the point my friend had to go to the city council because the people were trying to get this tree protected. At the same time my friends homeowners insurance was jacking his policy because of how close the tree was to his house and shed. Finally one day my friend came home and there was his neighbors tree laying across their car and into the side of their house. It had rotted from the inside at the base and fallen over from saturated soil etc.. They had the cajones to ask him to cut the tree off of their car so they could get it out. He had a nice polite answer of Umm No! Wouldn't want to desecrate a dying tree, and run his highly poluting two stroke chainsaw. I think they finally moved after him having nightly parties right up to the time of 9:59 p.m. He'd invite the whole neighborhood besides them. I think they finally got the point.

Poetic justice!

About three years ago a neighbor of mine contacted the city attorney because I had a car up on four jack stands in my driveway for a couple of weeks while the trans was being rebuilt. The attorney had the chief of police come by & take a bunch of pictures of it. A couple of days later the C.O.P. told me that the "someone" complained because she was afraid her daughter might crawl under it & it might fall on her. I wanted to tell her to keep her daughter the hell out of my driveway. Talked o some people in town & it wasn't hard to figure out who had complained. This same woman was known as being a pita to just about everybody.

Last August we came home from a 10 day vacation & there was a moving truck in front of her house & she & her little girl had moved to Texas. Found out later that the girl (about 10 years old) had talked another girl in the neighborhood (about 6 or 7) into helping her break into the next door neighbors house & poured Kool Aid & sugar etc. all over the inside. Apparently this was the last straw (she had been getting her daughters crap swept under the rug for a long time) & she was basically told to move or the girl would be prosecuted. Sometimes things all work out in the end.

moparman, what code did you actually "violate". I'm just curious, I live in Marietta, OH, just across the river from ya. Shame to hear that happened so close to home.

thats the thing i love about living out in the country. we just dump our waste oil in the woods.

I live out in the country too. I love it, peace and quiet and solitude.

I have a couple "less than driveable" vehicles around. But there's no way that I would just dump waste oil in the woods. That's assinine.:angry7:.

Give your head a shake and grow up.

Where I'm from used oil get's used for either chainsaw bar oil, fuel oil for your furnace, or sprayed onto your gravel driveway to keep it from washing away.

if we could we'd dump it on our road infornt of our house to keep the dust down from all the ATVs the haul *** by. but in the winter it works as a good fire starter in the wood stove

That's a shame .
I'm very fortunate with all the projects I got going I'm always running a saw a grinder or some sorta noise maker . I've talked to My neighbors about My car and they're all pretty cool about it .I always ask them if it bothers them just to ask their opinion and make them feel involved in the process. Not that I really care .But that way I can see who might be a problem also.8-[
Also I always keep my car in the garage and out of site of any city inspectors.

got home and saw a realtor sign in her front yard. see is mad cause they wont make me get rid of my cars. hope it sells and I get some kool people in there that likes cars.

She's probably ragging because of the high fuel cost for her diesel-powered dildo.
