Let's see your 1st generation barracuda

-
Here is mine the day I bought it, last April. I have put a bunch of $$$ into so far but none of it is noticeable except for the new leaf springs lifting the rear. It drives 10x better than it did when I brought her home. I have an 8 1/4 & a disc brake setup sitting in the garage waiting for new parts & free time. If I could only own 1 classic it has to be a 1st gen Barracuda!

ahhhh! that should be illegal. please tell me you bought the car like this, and plan on returning it to stock.:wack:

Here are a few of mine. The picture with the boat in the the background was recently published (page 80) in this month's edition of Mopar Enthusiast Magazine.

i didnt read your note before the pics and i was suprised when i came across this pic in Mopar Enthusiast mag. very nice

So as Im leaving my work parking lot, I glance across the street and see a familiar front fender. After a double take, I realize what I'm looking at.

A 1965 Formula S.

He had some nice Chrysler rallye wheels.

I noticed a lot of dry ground under her, so the owner must work at a local store in the strip mall across the street.

The car was pretty straight, it may have been hit in the rear at one time.

But it was nice to see. It was an automatic, I'm guess a 273 as Im not crass enough to open the hood without the owner present. But still, pretty slick.

It is common on the 64 and early 65's the way that deck lid is twisted. it is from the ratchet type trunk support. People forget you need to lift the trunk to release the support before they close it.

Here's my 66'. Slightly modded 273 with edelbrock performer series bolt ons and was originally a silver car with red stripes.

I bought this car in 1976 for $500, drove it forever, then restored it in 1990 and passed it along to pyp1000, my son. Car has Mark IV air conditioning, 8 3/4 Sure Grip and Nos high flow exhaust system with the square tip resonator. He added the Cragar SS mags and installed a Scarebird disc brake conversion.

Mostly just lurk around here, but what the heck. Painted this last year. Currently installing a TKO behind the 360. Grandparents bought it brand new, but the old 273/904 and 13" wheels just didn't cut it.

And a quick photoshop. Still debating on the side stripe and the Plymouth decal.
