    Will a Viper T56 bolt up to a Gen3 Hemi 6.4?

    Isn’t a Viper T56 only good to about 400 ft/#’s?

    A833OD Reverse Gear interchange?

Brass is almost new, it was replaced maybe 8K miles ago? And they sit pretty high and grab well. The spring on the other hand looks pretty deformed when compared to one out of the parts trans. I will re-assemble the slider with the bad spring and see what I see though. Thanks.

    A833OD Reverse Gear interchange?

The trans is apart already and the sticking issue identified. The middle of the dog spring on the OD side had popped out from under the dog and so the dog was rocking up and not allowing the slider to move over it and out of 4th. Based on wear marks, I would guess the spring was even holing...

Adding an OE electrical oil pressure gauge to a 71-76 A-body cluster?

Might look into a sending unit from a Dakota or something. It's both a light and a gauge sending unit, in a much more compact unit. And no T required. More Information for STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS PS233 No promises that it will work, or is wired the same. But seems worth looking at.

    A833OD Reverse Gear interchange?

I've been having problems with my A833OD sticking in 4th so it is now out and on the bench. During inspection, the points on the reverse gears appear to be fairly rough so I am thinking about swapping them with parts from another OD trans I have. Per Passon's book, there are different reverse...

The factory already did a total redesign on the SBM.

Hemi Swapping a perfectly good 70 Duster

Too funny. I am still weight limited so I had to call in a friend to help me pull my A833OD so I could figure out why it is getting stuck in 4th. No idea where I would be without friends.

Making a car difficult to steal

Part of the problem there is it only takes $150 of stuff to add a new key to the car. Pretty easy. The factory started locking a module so keys couldn’t be added, but that means you have to replace the module if you need to add keys. The other issue is the electronic transmissions meant...

    Modern day Challenger

It’s funny, I test drove an SP 6M and struggled to find it significantly better. It felt faster on the top end for sure, but around town it just didn’t make me giddy enough to hand over the keys to my R/T. And I didn’t test the brakes enough to form an opinion on those, but I did have the...

    Modern day Challenger

It should probably be pointed out that the 8HP wasn’t available in the Challenger with a V8 until 2015. Much better trans than the 5A from previous generations. Not saying the 2014 and older auto cars weren’t fun, but the 8A was a pretty good leap forward.

    73 Duster build named Fred

Hmmm…if I were to guess, he would have been all over you for not using a Ritter block to begin with. “Only an idiot would build anything with a stock block.” Not going to go looking, but pretty sure I could find that as a direct quote. It was a real shame as he really did have a cool car.

He didn’t bother me either, but it honestly feels better not having him here “helping”.

    Modern day Challenger

I had a 2015 R/T 6M and loved it but sold it for a couple of reasons. Concerned about a car payment was the biggest, and the idea that I wanted a Scat Pack someday. I should have kept it. I ended up driving it about 8 hours to sell it, and drove a rental 4 cylinder Mustang back. Back to...

New Challenger - deep discounts again

I had a '15 R/T 6M that I really enjoyed. Even swapped in an 8.4 and set the configuration to turn on Performance Pages and Launch Control. Really enjoyed driving it, great road trip car. I miss that car. You need to bring that 300 up here to me and I will put miles on it for you. I would...

    18" Wheel help

The OP can make his own decisions, but I don't see the need for coil overs in this case (if ever?). He should be able to buy some 18x8 and/or 18x9 wheels that bolt on without having to change much at all beyond maybe swapping the rear axle, if that. Run a 245 or 255 tire in the front and I bet...

MegaSquirt (MS3) or Holley HP EFI

Personal opinion, hard to beat an 8HP70 or similar for a drag and drive event. As mentioned, built in transbrake, plus wicked fast shifts and more steps from first to 1:1 (6th) to keep the motor in the power band. Plus, after all is said and done, throw it in drive and cruise at 1500 rpm or...

New Challenger - deep discounts again

Pictures look like a well used 2015 or so, not a new one. Not saying it isn't the one pictured, but the mud sprayed on the fenders behind the front wheel makes me wonder. :D

MegaSquirt (MS3) or Holley HP EFI

Great info. What other modules were you hoping to run? Looks like the Holley dual sync distributor is another option, too. This guy has a pretty good video on setting up a Terminator X system on a Magnum.

Things Change.. Butters is now getting a 392

I seem to be several characters and sometimes even words ahead of my fingers when I type. And most of the time I get letters out of order because I think my right hand is ahead of my left, or vice versa. So I completely understand. I have to read my posts and emails several times before I...

Things Change.. Butters is now getting a 392

The OEM fan fuses are a 40 amp and 50 amp based on the diagram I have, so I would be surprised if they only pull 8 amps. Can't remember an OEM fan that pulls so little. I bet the OEM wiring is 10 gage or bigger, too. There is a 10 amp fuse for the control side of the relays, maybe that is...
