    Wiring identification preference?

KISS. Keep it simple stupid. This isn't an airplane where all of the wiring is the same color, then needs to be labeled. Arguing will ensue, buy factory replacement harnesses, why would you want to patch up 50 year old plus harnesses if you are worrying about fires? New wiring will end up...

    2.76 vs 2.94 gearing

This is not that complicated, just do the 2:76. May have to change your speedo gear. OP says he has a problem with his current rear end , he's going to change it. I have 2:76's in my Dart, it's a driver, not a hot rod, it will get around just fine.

    2.76 vs 2.94 gearing

The difference? Slightly less acceleration and slightly more mileage. That’s it. If you cruise the car, you’ll like the 2.76 better. I had that ratio, the 2.76, in my ‘79 Magnum w/a 360/904 on 26” tires and I was able to get up to 20 mpg’s. No headers, dual exhaust off of the exhaust manifolds...

    2.76 vs 2.94 gearing

The difference will be bigger than you think. You will be in each gear longer before shifting, will hurt acceleration and mileage. I run 2.94 in many cars, but the 2.76 in small engine hurts the drivability and fuel mileage. Tell us about you and your car, what's been done to the engine for...

    318 with a new 4” crankshaft.

Flex plate is important, yes. It transfers the energy from the crankshaft to the torque converter. It sounds like you’re looking to be at least double the original power level, which would justify the move to a SFI flex plate, even if you don’t need it to pass a track inspection. It’s pretty...

    Any benefit to 10” wheel?

This is something that I have thought about a bit. As crazy as it sounds, my cars setup really leans towards a radial style. The sidewall of the redline is pretty stiff and a radial car is usually under tired for the power level. I haven’t been able to dynamically test my therory, but I did...

    360 vs 383

Where to start... It was a general statement why I would pick a 383 over a 360 having daily driven Factory A-Bodies with a 383 and a 340. The "seems to be a long-standing, common knowledge in a Mopar world" is actually a long standing common misconception. As for the extra weight it really...
