Anyone out there have a good solution to get shoulder harnesses in a 68 barracuda convertible? Had a close call a while back when someone pulled out in front of me. It’s got me jumpy.

I purchased an alternator that the local auto parts store's website assured me would fit my car. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to....but it almost fits. Comparing it to the alternator I took out, it seems to have some extra features (circled) in the housing that rub up against the engine block...

I just got my gauges working. Oil pressure seems to be reading a bit low. (See attached) I figure it should be in the middle somewhere. Before I go troubleshooting further, can anyone tell me what tick mark their oil pressure gauge reads normally?

Im not 100% sure what you mean by carb pad but I think this is what you want. Its a BBD for sure, not sure which specific kind. There is another thing I'm not sure about. two of the place to fasten the old car are for bolts and the others are studs. Not sure if that's normal or not, manual...

I bought these from rock auto recently. They look to fit but there is a lip on the originals that fits over the brake mount on the rear diff, and there is not that on the centrix 123.63044(see pics) part. Have you had any issues with this? Does those pics match the drums you got?

If I mount a proportioning valve prior to the brake warning switch/distribution block, will that cause the switch to stay on. The switch works on pressure difference, so I assume mounting the value prior to that block will cause issues. I can also mount the proportioning value after the block...

Sultan, WA. Bolt shank and knuckle holes are the same size 1/2" fits pretty snugly. Just the width of the nuts seems to be the problem.

No, not yet anyway. Everything I've shown here is with the stock nuts and bolts. The stock bolts are a bit too short, and I think I will eventually need to get longer ones (after going through plate, only about 4 threads show through) That being said, the stock bolts heads/nuts are the same...

See linked video of the bolt going through the adapter plate from the outside-in, its hard to explain in words what I mean, but you can see it won't go all the way in because the plate is threaded and the threads of the bolt don't go to the top. What am I missing, something obvious no doubt?
