    Kickdown issue

1972 Dart with 727. Linkages have been adjusted per the factory spec. With the pedal to the floor, the KD lever is all the way back against the stop but kickdown will not engage. This transmission was rebuilt just before I installed it at a local shop. If the linkage is pushing the KD lever...

'69 Barracuda T56 swap, floor, cross member

Custom condenser to filter drier hard line. Hard line from filter drier to firewall is original to the car. Some guy on this forum used same condenser and custom hard line on a bronze '69 318 fastback. So I stole all the info from his build and copied it.

Need a solution for a problem.

I like the way you think, but the slant can be fun with a 1:1 A833. If I was you I’d either swap in a non od 4 speed, or swap to a 5 speed. A V8 will make the split more tolerable but that transmission will never be fun, in my opinion, and from my experience running one behind a slant and a...

How strong is a T-5 transmission?

The T5 will take pretty much anything you can do with a slant 6 unless you have some sorta crazy nitrous compound turbo supercharged ridiculousness, then you are likely to blow a head gasket before you break the T5.

Time to start the build up

If it’s going to be a bracket car I’d recommend having the converter adjusted as I’d imagine the new setup is quite a bit a different. But, I also don’t know how soon you might end up putting the heads or putting spray on it as that’ll necessitate yet another re-flash. Just my $1/50.

    mini starter??

New starter won’t fit due to headers If someone is feeling ambitious. 2006 ram 2500 with a manual trans. You have to drill the threads out of one hole. Or the dakota starter works great in most cases also.

Shocks: looking for Blistein quality at KYB price.

it baffles me that people don't view shocks as an investment or a worthwhile upgrade to spend money on. a new carb is in the $500 range and people are all too quick to throw down on one of those. you're not only upgrading to something you probably won't out grow performance wise, but it will...
