A body 73 and up vs 72 and older front track width questions.

So after doing some more research, it seems if I have a 10" drum spindle the Willwood brakes will offset my factory drum trackwidth to +.20 if I have a 9" drum spindle it will off set my factory track width to -.08 so I learned that not all pre 73 spindles are created equal, I don't know if a 9"...

PLEASE HELP IM IN DIRE STRAIGHTSNo spark MSD but test fine what am i missing!

You need to tie start qnd run circuits together with the small red wire. It sounds like what may be happening when the car intermittently starts is that it rolls over quick enough and catches the run circuit when the key pops back to that position. I have seen this happen many times with New...

Please understand, I'm not an MSD hater. It has its place and lots of people like it. It's just a personal opinion of mine that the Mopar ignition can do anything that the MSD can do, even on an all out race car. Having said that, if you DO decide to go with another ignition, it would be very...

Small bolt pattern American torque thrust T70R rims

Well now I am 15/16 of the way completed. I was able to put the new wheel studs in no issues thank goodness and mount the other two rims. Man, this car looks completely different from my mothers car to my car.

Small block headers: worst to best fitting. List your experience.

I would say that Doug's 453 might be the best small block headers for a bodies on the market. They hug the block (I believe they require mini-starter) and I think they work with both power steering boxes. Other than that, most other sets I have seen from cheap to expensive have either the #1 or...

Small block headers: worst to best fitting. List your experience.

The hands down best fitting headers I ever installed Ford, Chevy, Mopar or anything else was the set of Dougs Headers I put on my 65 Valiant with a 360. I followed their instructions, used the Schumacher slant 6 to V8 mounts and they fit like a glove. No contact anywhere. I even used the slant 6...

PLEASE HELP IM IN DIRE STRAIGHTSNo spark MSD but test fine what am i missing!

I don't know "much" about electrical, but I can say with 100% certainty that 95% of starting issues on here are due to aftermarket bs stuff. You won't get much better advice than what Rusty said. Do a search on here for "MSD" and you will see the amount of threads. Or switch to HEI.

What distributor are you using? MSD, Chrysler electronic w/MSD box, or something else? If it's the Chrysler electronic with the MSD box, make sure the polarity is correct going to the pickup in the distributor. Some of the newer repro (offshore) Chrysler distributors have been reported to be...

    La318 cylinder head question

Ok, thanks for that everyone. I’m hoping it’s a valve spring and this is all moot, but if not it sounds like I’ll be fine to run the stock 318 heads. They’ll need a cleanup, but other than that they’ll do for the time being. I appreciate all the feedback, you guys are great! I love having this...

Small block headers: worst to best fitting. List your experience.

Seems to be a lot of different headers for diffrent small block LA/Magnum 1967-1976 A-bodies and not enough info to go around. If someone has had good/bad experience while installing headers sets with certain options (like power steering, aluminum heads, rack-pinion, etc), maybe we can list it...

Brake Improvements - Looking for thoughts

I replaced the speed bleeders with regular bleeders and hooked my MityVac to each caliper. I pulled a reservoir full of fluid through each one and got a ton of air out. It must have been trapped just right that regular bleeding wouldn't push it out. The pedal is mostly rock solid now with...

I think it’s been around 50 days since I’ve had any booze. Desert has become very important lol. My wife decided to try and lose some weight so we quit drinking for that. I’ve lost 10 lbs myself.
