i had a friend witha 74ish 360 cuda. had a factory all stock 360 4 speed. man did that thing run.. it was pretty damn fast.

pull the rocker shafts off and see what the oil does. watch out though. oil may shoot out. lol

maybe you passed the spot too quickly?

when we did my fresh 360 we used the prime tool and a 1/4" ratchet. spun the oil pump by hand and achieved 60 psi of oil pressure. while my buddy was spinning the pump i slowly spun the crank until we got oil to both heads. super easy and took only a couple minutes.

my guess from the mp purple cams is : 284/484 or or the 292/508 sounds too lumpy for a 280/474.

it has nothing to do with going "stock". there is a correct way to run pulleys and belts for proper results and reliability..

they are all wrong though. chrysler spent a ton of time and money engineering the proper pulleys.. they are not the proper pulleys for what you are doing. they are a mess.

why keep thay mess that you pictured earlier. you were given all the information to make it correct. do it the correct way.

here are the pulleys and their measurements that you need...

wrong pulleys.. thats an a/c waterpump pulley you have there.. can't tell what the crank pulley is.. you have a 70-up water pump it looks. so you'll need 70-up non a/c pulleys.. rear belt will go: crank. water pump and alt. the front pulley will go crank and power steering pump... .

agreed.. the only reason i did another 360 for our dart is i could do it dirt cheap.. if that motor ever comes out its getting a modern hemi.

all the ceramic headers i've had or friends have had seem to end up rusting and looking worse then bare steel headers that rusted. i will not buy another set of creamic coated headers.

got the motor home today. gonna take it to my buddies shop tomorrow so we can clean it up and paint it. only thing I'm waiting for still are the torsion bars and lower control arm bushing kit.

78 prototype did. never made it to production though. the prototype didn't have heat shields on the stacks either. few higher up burned themselves and the stacks got shields for production..

thats been debated for many years.. not sure anyone knows for sure unless someone actually pulled the cam and had it cam doctored.. many say its just a regular 360 production cam.
