Installing the Summit 2.5in A body exhaust

Thanks for pics! Great idea with the header flange on the down pipes. Looks like they were added on without being shortened prior to welding? I would think you shortened the pipes leading to the muffler?

Found my dads original 1971 duster!

So what's our best guess? Mine is the second nut wasn't snugged down - but its just a guess. Does the ring terminal also have some black ? That's as good as we can get with a basic multimeter unless we set up a test circuit. IMO - and its just my opinion - is that there nothing to indicate a...

If those model A's could do 100 mph, I reckon those fancy seatbelts and airbags might come in handy. That's what people want, a fast way to get to point B but I agree. I know when to turn on the wipers.

    1/2 price models at Michaels

I have rethought that statement and I think they were about $2.25 to $2.50 in the early 70s because you could collect up some returnable soda bottles and turn them in for cash and it was only a nickel a bottle.

Installing the Summit 2.5in A body exhaust

I found a few pics. Basically used a header flange welded to the TTI down pipes, and connected them to the header back Summit 2.5" kit. All joints were welded to prevent leaks, which is a PIA, because you have to put the entire exhaust together, tack it under the car, then remove it in...

Found it! It was back in 2019! And I stand corrected it tripled in price in 18 years! I should figure it up again and see how much it went up in the last 5 years!

Adding Pinion Angle Shims - Tell Me If This Sounds Correct, Please

What Greg (TB) said The way I read what you are contemplating, you have the two shafts parallel WITHOUT load. You want the two parallel UNDER load. So if the trans is 5 down (sounds like a lot, I agree with Greg, TB, I'd try and raise that) then you want the pinion down maybe...

    Home HVAC cost?

Extremely efficient in summer and winter.

More options more problems. Look at my model A, sat all winter, old gas, put battery in it, opened gas, set spark, hit starter button flipped over twice fired and ran like a kitten. Something to be said about basics.

    Home HVAC cost?

Not so new anymore. We have had a heat pump for more than 10 years now. Way more efficient that ac in the summer and even a furnace in the winter.
