These are very nice carbs to use everyday. They work great on smallblocks, the electric chokes work flawlessly. They won't have vapor lock like an Edelbrock does. Too bad they still don't sell these new. They would give Edelbrock a run for their money!

I think most Mopar centers are the same diameter, whether 14" or 15". I know the 14" and 15" Mopar Rallyes have the same diameter centers. I sent a pair of 14 SBP steelie centers to a wheel place for a 15 X 7.

I'm sure alot of you have the 14" SBP steelies that could donate the centers to make your 15" wheels. You have to decide if you want to lose the 14 for a 15. Cut the centers out' send them to a wheel place and get the width and backspace you want.

The mid to late 80's Diplomats-15X6 or 15X7. Usually the same year Chrysler Fifth Avenues had the 15X7. They used the full fake wire wheel covers that had very aggressive mounting teeth on the back. Usually the wheels are scarred up pretty good. watch your U Pull Its, have a small tape measure...

I see part of your problem-the kickdown lever that you have on the trans is for the 1 pc rod system. That is longer than the one you need. So in reality the ratio is off by quite a bit. The short levers are for the 3 pc bellcrank system and the long levers, like yours is for the 1 pc rod system...

That is the aftermarket electric choke TQ. No 383's ever came with a TQ.

Sounds like you might be better off finding another baseplate. What is the carb number, I might have a better one. The screws are 30 in/lbs.

How many long screws did you remove? Should be 10! So many morons-when they say TQ's suck because they have a cracked or warped bowl. 99% of them didn't get the 2 screws in the choke horn and break them by beating on them. Glad you are asking!

He means for the Oetiker clamps. There is a crimper made for these clamps, but I've seen them used also.

Anyone have any insight on what years the lifters started going to hell? I have several older NOS cam and lifter packages, and thinking they would be alright. From the 90's I would guess by the old boxes. What year did the first Mopar Direct Connection program change the name to Mopar Performance?

AMK has them. They are listed as SB Ford intake baffle, part number B-10760, 6 pcs for 3.00. I think these are the right size-1/4 x 3/8 L .44 OD. This is from an older AMK catalog, they might have them listed for the SB Mopar by now.

Big Block, right? Summit shows the Carter Super Street M6903 for 156.99 to ship on June 17-I would imagine that means 2025. I ordered a hardened oil pump drive from Summit last Feb 2023 and still haven't received it. The Carter Strip pumps are available on Rock Auto for generally 20-30 dollars...

I too, prefer old NOS ignition parts. Like Echlin and Niehoff ECU'S in old original boxes. You have to study the pictures to make sure it's an old original part. I've seen quite a few sellers on Ebay selling ECU's as NOS and you can see they've been used-the bolt holes having the gripper star...

They fit fine, but the mother fuckers hung down so low-they were smashed up within the first couple weeks. And I had as tall of 15" tires that would fit and had the front end cranked up a respectable amount.

I didn't need ******* race headers!
