3M 1080 (what I would recommed) comes in 60", they also offer matte, semi gloss and gloss. not sure what the material goes for in the US, but here prices might go from $300 to $500.
I think it would look good on your car
if you are looking to get a semi gloss, 3M came out with a good quality semi gloss in the 1080 series. if you ask for the 1080 series, make sure it's written on the back paper. if it's not on the back, you re getting a lower grade of vinyl.
When You order the stripe, ask if they use 2mil material.
I see way to many people come in to my shop with junk they thought was a good deal on ebay or other online suppliers to get installed.
I believe 3M is one of the only supplier that have a 2mil semi gloss.
Pm me if you have any other...
You can buff it,then clean the area with rubbing alcool where you are installing the stripe. I uses 50/50 water n alcool. If the stripe is a Matt finish, do not apply wax on them. If they are gloss you can apply wax on them.
If the bumpers are only faded and not bent. I'd get them rechromed. Check out some companies reviews from FABO. I've heard the aftermarket one are not the best. Plus the money stays in the US and keeps somebody employed. Just saying.
Was the car painted in a proper paint booth with dryers. What kind of paint? base coat or waterborn? Always best to wait a min. of 7 days for proper curing time. Most vynil manufacturer will recommend 30 days.....
