You also need to disconnect the column from the floor/firewall and if you align the coupler just right you get more angle.

To me that would suggest too much timing at idle. Maybe your indicator is off? Have you tried a new battery, could be that simple

This is a GT ( this one is for AC) This is 270 ( and base????). ( note the end is rounded as there is no glove box cover on this model) and there is a separate part for the radio.
