    There is a better epoxy out there , @RAMM has had great results with maybe he will chime in it's expensive but good .

    i was just looking in my scribbler and where i fixed my head with SZ and it was further out in the port not the bowl like yours . That was 97 on a set of ported 308's lol .

    i fixed that same problem with splash zone epoxy 25 years ago and its still going .

    To do a check a check of your msd box and coil find the white wire from the box and with the key turned on touch it to a ground if the box and coil are good you will have spark and if the box is good and the coil is not you will hear the box going off but have no spark .

    t.he 360 crank has a bigger main bearing journal so it won't fit a 340 block .

    I Would check the rear pan seal sometimes when the pan is tightened it will slide in or out of the pan and cause a major wet spot . and more so when silicone is used .

    Hey Roger the rings all have gaps so a small amount of oil could easly seep past and into the combustion chamber is my thinking . Don't baby it when you get her going do a couple full throttle blasts to help seat those rings real nice .

    I really like your car and i would drive the wheels off of it , that said you should check to see if an inertia switch was wired into the fuel pump circuit . You don't want to be the main attraction at a weiner roast .

    I have a nice set of used Hyd lifters 1980's or so i need to use on a 68 340 4spd cam is there anywhere in Canada that regrinds used lifters . i may need to send them to the U.S Which is not a problem just more expence .
