i think we're on the right page :) but to be safe, whats considered bad driveability for street? i dont have much vacuum now, as i have to run the car for a little for it to heat up to stay running and sometimes i have to throw it in neutral at stop lights to give it gas for it to keep running...

I don't think you would have to really touch the block anymore. There is a lot of kits that say theres no clearancing issues and others require some stuff to be grinded. Kinda depends I suppose. For a stroker, I'd look at oiling and cooling. Deeper oilpan, high flow oil pump, bigger/better...
