Let's bring the pundits out! (your suggestions sought)

In Spring, 2018, two tremors will shake my automotive world. My daughter will graduate from the mega-bucks private university that has made me eat Ramen for four years. And the lease on my 2015 Jeep Renegade will end. When the ground stops trembling from those events, I will have $12K stashed...

Anyone near Greeneville, TN for a scouting report?

Hey, guys! Still looking to feed my early A addiction (in withdrawal since I stupidly sold my '64 Dart GT). I'm hoping someone here might be able to scout for me in the Tri-cities area of Tennessee. There's a sweet-looking '65 four door that looks like an amazing survivor. The guy says never...

    What's the WORST car/truck you've owned?

'91 Mercedes 560 SEL Actually drove like a dream--even in 2012, when I owned it for six painful months. Bought it for $4K because it had an engine rebuild, tranny rebuild and suspension rebuild. So what else could go wrong. Everything. And brother, everything costs with a Mercedes. $4,500...

    1966 Plymouth Valiant

Hi, from not-so-far-away Clawson! This looks an awful lot like the '66 Valiant that was for sale on the east side of the state last fall--right down to the door panels, wooden steering wheel and painted rear bumper. Did you just pick it up last fall? If so, why the quick turnover. Thx, Brian

    Valiant Grilles-1961&1964

Hey, Demon! Fellow Mitten dweller here (Clawson)! Do you, by chance, still have the '64 Valiant grille? I'm looking at a really clean Valiant Thursday that I may just score. Please let me know! Regards, Brian

64 Valiant lower valance with turn signals. Grilles.

Kinda late to be asking, but as I'm about to pick up a Valiant tomorrow, I would be interested if they're still there. BTW, I've heard a '64 grille will bolt right into a '65 face. Do you know if this is true? (I prefer the '64 look). Thx, Brian

Available for a car check in Emerson, NJ?

I'm wondering if any member in or near Emerson, New Jersey is available to check out an early A I've been salivating over for some time. Flight prices to NJ and NY are cheap enough, but I would love an advance word on this one. It's a '64 Dart four-door with a slant six in supposedly very, very...

Would you daily drive an early A?

I'm thinking about it. I put maybe only 5-7K miles on my DD. Typically short distances. I'm not kidding myself, I trust, about the safety issues. Even if I do a disc brake swap, dual MC, and four-point harnesses and scat procar seats (for the head rests), it simply won't be as safe as some...

Two A-body prospects: help me choose one

All good grist... From what I'm hearing from you, the Dart's better body and pristine interior make it a sounder buy than the Valiant (which already has the disc brakes, electronic ignition but needs some body and a lot of interior work). Think that makes it academic. Thanx!

Two A-body prospects: help me choose one

Thanks for your input! I guess I was really trying to find out whether you thought a nearly clean Valiant with mods done (mostly disc brakes and ignition), but needs seats and belts is better or worse than a pristine, no-rust Dart that needs all of those mods but is $1K less.
