'64 Valiant Hood latch return spring

That spring is for the latch. I am talking about the spring for the lever that you move to open the hood. My "torsion spring" for the latch is there and working fine. My mistake, thread should read "Hood Opening lever Return Spring".

[FOR SALE] 1963 and earlier arm rests 3 sets

Might as well say $40 USD a set shipped to the USA or Canada. That should cover shipping and buy me a cup of coffee. Sorry Aussie guys, shipping your way is brutal.

Early Barracuda wood grain emblem disassembly..

It does have a sliver backing. Would make sense manufacturing wise for it to be two pieces.

Early Barracuda wood grain emblem disassembly..

No. I put it all back together. The back is one piece, but it looks like there is a lens on the front on top of the emblem. Wondering if it is possible to separate them or not.....

Early Barracuda wood grain emblem disassembly..

I don't want to switch the emblem (as you can see I have already removed it from the pot metal), I want to get into the emblem and repaint the red. I didn't see anywhere in your 120plus page thread where you did this. Did you split it open to repair, or just replace the black plain emblem with...

Early Barracuda wood grain emblem disassembly..

I have searched the forums but not having any luck finding out how to separate the clear lens from the emblem on the center piece of my wood grain wheel horn button. Can anyone point me or clue me in how to do take off the clear plastic part so I can repaint the faded red on the emblem.

1964 Valiant Signet Split seat benches

I don’t have a 64 Signet style split bench. This thread was asking if anyone has seen one. In summary it looks as though there weren’t any. What I may do now is create one based on the upholstery styles for a 64 Signet.

1964 Valiant Signet Split seat benches

They maybe from a ‘63, my point is that the upholstery is not standard ‘63 factory style. 50 plus year old cars can have all kinds of post factory modifications. Picture of a ‘63 bench from a Valiant brochure.

That does not appear to be original 63 upholstery.

1964 Valiant Signet Split seat benches

Has anyone ever run across one that was factory? I had a 64 signet with a bench, but it had been redone, and I am not sure if it came with the split bench or buckets. Just curious......I would like to have a proper looking factory signet split bench, but not sure if the animal ever existed.
