If it's a new build with no attachment to this block I might look at finding a new core. Especially if it's a stock rebuild. If you swap caps you have to align hone the mains. This is expensive. If your going that route might as well get aftermarket caps.

I started the throttle linkage today also. My return spring bracket and the throttle linkage needed to use the same hole. So after a little brain storming here is what I came up with.

Yes I did look at that. It's got more room then it looks like. Bodies are machined inside for clearance

The block alone is worth the price! I went thru 3 to find a nice thicker wall. I paid between $250-300 for core short blocks

I have 2" under chassis headers in my 67 dart with 383 and can do all 8 plugs in 30 min

Your gonna lose 35hp or more with the manifolds vs a good header. Both tti and Schumacher make very nice headers that will last longer then you will be alive.

Should be fine. It will pull a suction against plugged galley. I plugged mine too and bottom just to make sure it never sucked air
