    '69 Valiant 4-door w/bench seats - cramped at 5' 10"?

I have seen seat relocating plates -- maybe at Summit Racing. These are flat metal plates with two holes, or one hole and one stud, that you use to offset the seat track back (using two on each track). I just made a set for my 67 Barracuda with a 3-1/2 inch offset (I'm 6'1"). My design is a...

Fastback Cuda back seat into notch Cuda

The conversion above could work, I suppose, but otherwise it'll never fit -- it's narrower, lower and a completely different shape. I'm not even sure the bottom cushion would fit -- I know they are different on a fastback and a convertible.

    68 barracuda folding seat help

Yes, there should be one on each end. You can't buy them new, so put up a wanted ad and comb the swap meets.

    where are the seat holes.

Like they said, look for dimples. A factory bench car won't have the holes for buckets. Also, the factory bucket seat holes would have a small reinforcing plate welded in -- if you just drill the dimples you won't have that. I'm not saying that's a terrible thing -- I got away with it for 20...

Fold down rear seat/trunk divider pic needed

I don't think there's any plastic there. It's a sheet metal floor, covered with carpet from the factory.

    bucket seat mounting location.

The buckets do sit lower than the bench. For shorter owners, the dealers used to install wood shims under the tracks. I drove for years with big washers. The reinforcement plates weren't available at the time. Since they go on top of the floor, they are supposed to be welded in. They won't fit...

Stock Bucket vs Bench Seats w/ 8pt Roll Bar

I haven't dealt with roll bars myself, but I can tell you that the split bench seat is heavy and bulky -- I'm guessing it would make it hard to work the cage around it, and it would make access to the back seat very difficult. The buckets have longer track travel, and the backs flip forward...

    rally dash question

"Rally" dashes are the ones with the two large circular gauges (speedo left, 4-way gauge right), and a smaller circular one in the center (tach, vac gauge, clock or blank). This dash bezel was on ALL 67-69 Barracudas, and was not used on Valiants or Darts. It was revived for use on Dusters...

    What does this seat weigh

Ummm... a lot. I'm sure it's over 100lbs, I think more like 150. I just put one like it in my 'cuda (original 67 split bench). Trying to get the studs lined up it was hard to lift one end with one arm.

    67' speedo repair

I'd be interested, also. The speedo shop that worked on mine used slotted flathead screws, which look ridiculous.

Does a 66 baracuda rear seat fit in a 65 dart?

Bottom bun will be narrower, too (to match the narrower fold-down back). Basically, completely different animals. No interchange.

Help with seat Identification 67-69 Dart Buckets

X3 Had a 67 GT once. After sitting in the CA sun all day, those emblems would burn a hole in the back of your shirt. A good argument for seat covers.

    Barracuda bench seat

They are a little hard to find, to say the least. I was looking for one for a decade. They were all back east, and shipping would have been a deal killer (well, Wildcat had one, rusted and shredded, for $425 -- no thanks). Finally stumbled upon one locally that had just been restored. Had to pay...

    Bench seat for 67 barracuda

67 thru 69 should be exactly the same, except some may have headrests.. Bucket seat brackets are completely different and mount in a different location. You definitely need bench seat brackets and tracks. I don't see why later benches wouldn't work (A body thru 76) -- obviously you need a bench...

would any one want to buy a redone bench seat?

I recently paid 9 bills for a 67 Barracuda bench seat. Similar deal -- just redone at an upholstery shop, and the guy changed his mind and wanted buckets. The deal with bench seats is, nobody wants to ship them -- it just doesn't price out. So it doesn't matter how cheap they are in Peoria, the...

69 Cuda headrests//same as what other models?

Hmm, I would guess, probably not. Scarcely any interior parts are the same from 67-69 to 70-up. But I don't know it for a fact.

Front Dual Speaker And Bracket Install

I'm glad to see that fit. I fabbed up my own frame a few years ago, but haven't got around to trying to install it yet (I was waiting for when I was pulling the dash out for other reasons). I was worried that the slightly deeper magnets would hit the heater controls. But yours look a lot bigger...
