More info received from the seller: "I've owned the car since 1982...then, I started driving my challenger in 1991 and that's when I stopped driving the barracuda. Here's a picture of the car from 1982 after I got it painted. The previous owner had a Earl Scheid gold on it...the original color...

    San Diego area roll call

Right now, I am planning on going up to Cruisin Grand on the 24th of Aug...provided I get back when I expect to get back and have time to clean up the car after it has been sitting...I might just go up there to walk around and leave the car at home, just not sure yet.

68 Barracuda Formula S (San Diego, and not mine)

http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/cto/3168813246.html From the ad: "Fastback model, 340 small block, automatic transmission and all original. Needs restore...has not run since 1991. $5,000 or best offer!!!" Personally, I have to disagree with the "all original" assertion, and I think...

    Glove box won't open - 69 Dart

Try opening the quarter of an inch it does move and then use a small putty knife or screwdriver to help disengage the latch while gently wiggling the door or pushing it back in a little.

    74 dodge dart gas cap

Cali Dart, Not 100% if this will work on your car or not, but if you wanted to switch to a flip-style gas cap you could PM 4mulaSvaliant and pony up some $$ the adapter and change it over to a flip-style one. They sell on here quite a bit. Looks real clean too...

    1969 BB 4-speed Barracuda Formula S

Well, looks like there is some OG sunfire yellow paint on the underside of the trunklid and the trunk area...it should clean up pretty well. Nice find on the Camaro. Your son and you are going to be busy...looks like that one has no drivetrain as well...but it is a convertible so that...

    WTB front shocks 68 cuda

Most people will recommend two brands, Bilsteins or KYB gas adjusts and kind of rate the quality in that order as well. Upgrade from stockers. Check Rock Auto for prices, or perhaps others can come up with cheaper vendors.

Congrats on the purchase! Now we will not have to listen to threats of parting it out, crushing it, or throwing it into a volcano, etc. I am sure it is going to a good home. Perhaps you will post pics when is shows since the previous owner was not as inclined.

18 days, 17 states, fresh 69 Dart Convertible

Sounds like an awesome trip! It goes without saying keep a stash of things in the trunk to get you up and running again in the event issues come up, or some AAA coverage...it is one thing to be stranded on the side of the road, quite another to be stranded with your 11 year old daughter as...

    1969 BB 4-speed Barracuda Formula S

Not being overly critical because the panel does look good, but the red seems slightly off from the Totally Auto red....perhaps it is the light. Also I would think that before I installed the dash pad I would have masked and resprayed the dash frame. To each their own, I guess. Also...

    Can these bezels be restored?

Agree. You should only be concerned with the visible portion once installed, which is that thin band around the perimeter. Anything else is like painting the underside of the porch. As far as the visible area, I have certainly seen worse.
