    Meziere water pump

Ok.. I just read this. Asked the same question in my 72 build thread. I am seeing conflicting answers here.

    440 into a /6 duster

Personally I would build the truck. Check out Schumaker industries. There are also a lot of articles out there discussing it. I am still fine tuning and working out bugs on mine. Addressing brakes and suspension is a must. Fitting it in there is one thing, making it work is another. Do you have...

Show Your Big Block A body!

http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=240565 Still adding some final touches but this is a rust free 72 Florida car. 72 date coded engine and trans with a 72 8 3/4 rear. Tried to make it appear as stock as an "R/T" in 72 would have been.

    426 Hemi #s Help!!!

It looks like everyone solved the stamps before I got here. I just made a post yesterday about pad stamps. I think it is cool that stuff like this wasn't melted down. They used it. A nod to resourcefulness and a true deviation from our "throw away" society. Price. First I can NEVER find this...

My first 440 build for my 74 Dart

There are a lot opinions on here and none are wrong. Some just more right than others for what you are trying to do. Tunnel ram is cool. Not sure how practical when it is sticking out of the hood. I encountered a bunch of nonsense in trying to put together a stock appearing 72 with a 440. Car is...

    Salvagable Block?

Ok...I admit I am not an expert. Machine work on the motors I have been doing is well over a grand. I wouldn't even think of messing with it until you are ready. Stroker components aren't cheap. Spending all that dough then taking a chance while it sits is riskier than keeping it dry in my book.

657 HP with a 509 cam? Not by me!

Well that HP is good to hear. I have a .060 over 440, big valves, iron heads, roller rockers, milodon windage tray, miezere water pump, headers, just under 10:1 comp and you guessed it a Doug Herbert 509 lift cam...was trying to find the card, but it is buried in a heap of receipts somewhere. I...

Big Block Conversion, do it again?

Hmmmm. Considering I have yet to put mine in gear I can't give you the full tale. I will say stuffing a 440 under the hood of my 72 and making it appear as though it came from the factory that way had been tough. I kept cast heads but took care of the weight difference with an HDK. TTI headers...

    Stamp

So I tore down a 77 440 today to build. Ran out out time to get it to bare block but the thing was stamped with a Maltese cross followed by the letter X. Motor had never been torn down before. All stock. Any idea on the X?

    engine install

Those wheeled channels could be adjusted up with pins. Didn't take much more to roll motor, trans, and front suspension right under. Standard 8 ft ceiling.

    Castor wheel dolly

    engine install

No paint scratches. HDK front rolled right under.

Opinions on this 392 Hemi for sale?

Saw a 354 in a truck at a show the other day. Truck was a super old restoration owned by a super old dude. I would have bought the truck for the engine if the price was right. I don't disagree with anything anyone above has said. $3800 it is all good...you win. Not all good you are out another...

440 in a body with hemidenny k frame

I used HDK and full TTI exhaust with flow master 40s with my 440 72 Dart Build. 1 7/8"

    QA1 with Big Block

Sorry. Can't help you on that but I am using QA1 with my hemidenny k and front suspension and 440 in a 72. Not a single fitment issue to this point in the build. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=240565

    440 Handling?

http://www.gomog.com/allmorgan/engineweights2.html http://www.dippy.org/forum2/index.php?topic=1474.0 Here are 2 sites that list similar weights. Rusty Rat Rod nailed it, about 120 # My 2 cents in all this is that I actually have more fitment issues in my 74 than the 72. I tried to go cheap on...

    Indy Head information

Tried to find you some head info, but striking out. I can tell you the HDK is going to give you a ton of room. I put some pics on my build thread for my 72.

    Headers

http://www.ttiexhaust.com/Category-Headers/Sub-catagory/ccBigBlock-RB.htm. I read this over and they don't mention stage 6. Only stage 5. I used TTI with 727 so I can't speak to that. I will tell you that when I had questions I called and they helped me out.

What alternatives to using a K frame?

A I reading it correctly that the HemiDenny set up is more for straight line driving? I have 6 kids so building my 72 440 Dart is on super budget so I am staying away from RMS and alterkation set ups. Planning on using PST components and losing a bit of weight by replacing components with...

    Radiator choices

Have a 72 Dart Swinger with an externally balanced 440 with big valve stock heads going in soon. Want to put a healthy radiator with electric fan in place. Any help on choices?
