One of the Weiand's is almost an exact copy of the LD4B but I dont recall which one. I looked at buying a new Weiand if I couldn't get a good deal on a LD4B.

If you're patient you should be able to find a LD4B at a reasonable price (less than $200). Most of the ones on eBay now start at $200 or $250 and still need work. Clearly some folks are paying that amount for LD4B's since most of them are not relisted.

Have you measured where your motor sits relative to how TTI builds their headers? You shouldn't have problems if your crankshaft bolt is 5 1/4" from the top of the k frame. The crankshaft bolt should also be 2 1/2" closer to the passenger side frame rail compared to the drivers side frame...

I think you answered your own question... if you want to go for that stock look, manifolds are the only way to go. The fact you get them for $150 is unbelievable! Nice score.

Yeah I'm with you as for sure TTI must sell their products in Canada??? So, according to Google, TTI exhaust has 7 Canadian distributors with 2 of them located in Ontario. I think that should be enough of a cookie crumb trail........

Are you running the manifold pair/set that Treblig sells? If so can you post some pictures of the passenger side manifold that shows where the downpipe is relative to the transmission dipstick?

If the exhaust shop has some skill, they can cut where the hanger is on those tips and weld it on where it lines up with the hanger on the rear frame rail. That's what the exhaust shop did with mine. In other words, don't worry too much about where the hanger is on the tip as that can be fixed...

I had Dynomax Super Turbos on my Scamp (318) for several years but was always disappointed at how quiet they were. Last month I had Dynomax Ultraflo welded mufflers installed and am happy with the sound. It's not obnoxious but has more bark which is what I wanted.

Sounds nice! I just had Dynomax Ultraflows installed on my 318 last week but haven't had a chance drive it since coming home from the shop (crappy weather). Do you have an H or X pipe in the exhaust? You running a 2 or a 4 bbl on your 318?

My '75 Scamp (Canadian model) did not come with a catalytic converter. My grandmother bought the car new so I can also confirm it never had one.

After running a few errands the mufflers are starting to sound great! Muffler Tech used quite a bit of grease/oil to bend the pipes so it smoked for quite a while as it burns off.

So the kit is installed! Sounds nice too!! I'll take some pictures tomorrow. The kit wasn't exactly 'plug & play' as it did take some extra bending to get things to fit.....

You can call them to confirm but the one page instruction sheet they provide with the kit states off-set in and off-set out should be used with their kit.

autoxcuda Do you need special bolts and nuts kit for the '69 to '70 340 manifolds or will 318 bolts and nuts work as well? Also, is the heat shield necessary? Looking at the prices for the 340 heat shield, they should be made out of gold.
