Best Muffler mild 318 factory dual exhaust pipes

Hello have 67 formula s notch. looking for best deep sounding muffler that's gonna make me sound a lot faster than I really am. I think the piping is 2.25. the mufflers are off-set on both ends. the muffler case length is about 13 inches. I was looking at the Flowmaster 40's or the Series 44. What other mufflers should I look at. I have Borla on my truck which I like but don't know about putting them on the Barracuda. I guess I'm looking for a deep tone especially when you romp on it. I just installed them not too long ago so I'm not sure if there will be a change over time. It's a pretty deep, performance sounding exhaust throughout the rpm range.

Jegs 2-1/2 exhaust on a low compression '79-318 w/ a 600 Holley, LD4B intake, Hooker headers, Crane Cams 216/228-.454/.489-112.

Another muffler I did like a lot was the Thrush Turbo. I had a set @ 2-1/4 on my old Magnum w/a 360/4bbl. Off the exhaust manifolds. Idle was quite, cruise was good, you could talk in the cabin, @ W.O.T it put people on notice.

Sounds nice! I just had Dynomax Ultraflows installed on my 318 last week but haven't had a chance drive it since coming home from the shop (crappy weather). Do you have an H or X pipe in the exhaust? You running a 2 or a 4 bbl on your 318?

At the moment it's just a true dual system, no X or H. I'm running a 4bbl eddy

I put Dynomax Super Turbo's an my Swinger. Nice sound. Not too loud and no drone. It's a stock 318 with a 2 barrel. Not a good video. (sound sucks)
