Well, it wasn't "just" him, but yes. I try to have an open mind about trying new things and this one happened to work.

Don't sweat it dude. We all know when someone resorts to name calling and insults, their position is very weak. I'm just blown away this argument is still ongoing. It just makes not one single bit of difference in the outcome.

Cheap *** headers at it again!!

So, I musta missed it. So Dan bought a minivan. Is that the best that he can? Did he meet a boyfriend named Stan? I wonder if that was the plan? Will one of them dress up like Mary Ann? Will they have breakfast of bran? And maybe desert of flan? Maybe they both chew Red Man. In Dan's minivan...

    Need Header Head Pipe Help

That's the plan. There are two that have to go through that area. I believe I have enough pipe with lots of individual bends. It's just cutting them right. I ain't good at that kinda thing.

    Need Header Head Pipe Help

Yeah I looked at those. I mightta jumped, but they were wrapped and that's just a huge no for me. I'm sure pictures of them would help, but I was hoping for some installed pictures. It's pretty darn tight where they have to go through and I was wanting some ideas. Since I've gotten the headers...

    Hotchkiss WTF

There are tools called tap removers just for that purpose. They work quite well.

I agree. But I worded it like I did because I'm certainly no expert.......I don't believe we have any here, either. lol

    (2)450 DP's vs (2)750 DP's

You HAVE the 450s, so try um. You may lose some all out power, but the response might be better too. Only one way to find out.
  14. RustyRatRod

This gets expensive real quick. Not mine.

Now that's a lot of carnage.

In my mind's eye, the bore changes we're discussing here, let's just give an example.....say going from a 4.250 bore of a 383 to a 4.342 of the 400 isn't enough of a difference to "undo" the added power of the larger bore, if that makes sense. While the pressure "may" decrease from the smaller...

    Repairing rear arm rests

Oh and one more thing. Don't make the mistake and use the 3M black weatherstrip instead if you decide to go the route I described. It is nowhere near as strong and I've never seen it dry completely.

    Hotchkiss WTF

What a shame. Hotchkiss was a good company too with lots of good products. It wouldn't bother me if Holley bought them out. At least they'd still be around. How many companies would we be without if Holley didn't buy them?

This discussion is not including all that, but yet, taking for granted that the induction system can indeed handle any extra bore. In other words, we're basically talking about the short block.

    Repairing rear arm rests

Ha! Great minds think alike. But you know, so do stupid ones. LMAO!

    Repairing rear arm rests

Here's how I would TRY to fix those. Remove the cover completely from the metal bases. CLEAN the inside of the vinyl THOROUGHLY. Same with the metal. I would use a wire brush on a grinder and get ALL that rust off. Then, I would paint the bases with something like a direct to metal paint...

    Mild 383 build

I don't think there's any way in hades you have 11:1, BUT as I've mentioned now at least twice, you really need to take direct measurements. It's the only way to know for sure.
