here's what i seen that seems to work is 1008's torqued wait 12 hours retorque run engine thru 4 or 5 heat cycles retorque reset valves and damn near bullet proof at 10 psi with proper timing . jmso
the only thing i can think would be if something got in there and warped or bent the rotors a few thousand , did you try measuring in 3 or 4 different spots around the rotation . i know it sounds stupid but its all i can think of off hand .
hey jack if i was going to buy a tranny the first one i would call would be CRT or he will do you up a kit to handle all you can throw at it and you can rebuild it yourself i know you have the skills . check your email .

I give you much credit for finishing your project so many start but give up after a year or two .9 years says a lot about yourself .
by the way I love your truck it is one of the nicest i've seen and would be exactly like I would do one .
with the hood you are referring to if i'm correct you can use the stock hinge but you need a weaker spring to avoid the hood from collapsing when being shut . you can buy the special spring made for the F.G. hood.
