How important is 1psi of fuel pressure?

Geoff, Do you want to reread Tim's post and delete yours? Two scenarios and the question was which one has higher pressure and which one has higher flow? How in the world could you think that Tim meant that one with higher pressure is the free flowing hose?

Dash lights will not turn off!! 72 dart

Wiring diagrams are in the service manual(s). '72 may have a Body Manual with additional electrical diagrams. Earlier years everything is in the chassis diagram. www.mymopar.com --> service manuals The diagrams will show which wires connect to which position in a connector. They are...

Since you have it off, remove the cover. I don't think this is the problem but might as well visually check the fusible wires and points. I'll need to reread later what you posted about the high restance when moving wire.

In the wet. Preferably in a parking lot. You are correct, its hard to get it just right for the worst situations. Those are downslope turns - so the backend is light and already wants to come around. The higher the speed the worse it can be. No road race or rally body used a rear sway bar...

Tough call I suppose. Is better for the community to have a bunch of empty buildings or not? Guess in this case I'd say better leave 'em empty and let the industry take the hit. Next time they'll build with metal roofs, brick face and fireproof shutters.

Only real fireworks I saw this week were driving back into town Wed night. While on the sweeper from I-95 onto the vine street xpressway. If I wasn't so hungry I would have found my way to a view spot.

I *think* even NJ now allows sparklers. The state that requires a firearms purchase permit to buy a BB gun! But with the fire danger, I get it. They got to try to do whatever it takes

Cranks but won't start. Unplug ground at field spade on Alternator and it starts?

The NAPA VR32 has resistor's underneath? If you open it you'll see points. Very simple system. I'm the last guy to tell you to buy parts and swap as a diagnoses method. Have you tried starting with the VR ign side connected and the field terminal disconnected? If it doesn't start then...

Cranks but won't start. Unplug ground at field spade on Alternator and it starts?

My thought is to test whether it relates to the Unlite's power feed by connecting the Unilite directly to the battery positive and then see if it will start. It can't be left like that because it will be powered with the key off. Are you using a piggy back to make the power connection? Those...

Cranks but won't start. Unplug ground at field spade on Alternator and it starts?

Show this to yourself with the water analogy. Turn the garden hose on with the spray nozzle shut. Pressure in the hose is what? Same as the pressure supplied by the city or well pump. Taking this further, connect the hose to a sprinkler. The pressure in the hose when its running will be...

Cranks but won't start. Unplug ground at field spade on Alternator and it starts?

With the new Unilite, it seems possible its power needs are more picky than your old one. I've not worked with them, so all I know is what I've read in the instructions and things like that. Its possible there is either internally different than your old one, or something about the wiring is...

Thanks for the additional info. Now we all know what is on the car. Sorry but at least I missed this part when I was responding the other night. That's what I would have first suspected - ign 1 & 2 wires might be switched Correct for points. Not sure what MSD coil and Unilite will work best...

Here you go, Piston area and force.

Sometimes, in fact most of the time, a word will be used that is accepted and understood which is not technically accurate. For example, 12 Volt is accepted as an approximation for system voltage even though in reality the system runs between 14 and 14.8 Volts 99+% of the time. Likewise the...

Found my dads original 1971 duster!

Top right cavity is damaged. Off the top of my head that might be for wire L1. Get a replacement connector. If that is L1 with the AMP Fast-on 1/4" spade terminal, replace with a Chrysler or Packard 58 for 14 or 16 gage wire. Sorry but that's what is needed so it will have a good connection...
