Here you go, Piston area and force.

For one really were talking an average psi through out the power stroke, it's not a static amount it's forever changing evolving. Your assumption is the 383 B will have less overall average psi over a 383 RB or 408 B vs 408 LA etc.., you have offered zero proof for your position. The overall...

    Edlebrock Carburetor Fuel Pressure

Edelbrock has similar graphs in the instruction manual with their carbs, since they are a Carter copy, so to speak.

    Found it…

I had my wife find one of my 10 mm sockets, I was working on the car prior to a trip back in 2016 and being a V6 had to take the inlet off to change rear plugs, putting the final nut on the engine cover dropped it down the back of the motor, thought no worries it will fall out n the driveway...

    Edlebrock Carburetor Fuel Pressure

The Carter 4070 is an external pump, not in-tank. The E carbs are calibrated with pressure being 5.5 psi. The fuel system is a direct copy of the original Carter AFB/AVS design, which can run with 10 psi. Changing both/either the needle & seat size or fuel pressure changes the fuel level in the...

How important is 1psi of fuel pressure?

Mattax, No I do not want to delete my post. I asked a valid question & I asked it politely..... If somebody asks a rhetorical question, maybe they should answer them so there is no confusion about what was meant...

    15x8 w/ 4.5” BS on front/good handling size?

Yes. Those are high aspect ratio drag tires with big sidewall bulge and lots of flex. You’ll need to get that rim edge away from that leaf.

Are you using the Hyperspark Distributor, coil and ignition box as well? Be really sure you have good grounds. Like Head/block to chassis and battery and battery to chassis. Just did my 69 over the winter and I love my Sniper EFI. I can drive the car dead cold, maintain high idle until warm...

Not an A body but I trust your opinion

It has a cardboard backed headliner, correct? Those are very easy to remove and reinstall compared to the bow type. I would fix it right.

Here you go, Piston area and force.

More piston area does not automatically mean more force on the rod!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If more air air is drawn into the cyl as a result of an increase in piston area, then more air is compressed & more force is applied to the piston. If more air was drawn in as...

    NGK spark plugs breaking.

I hate to agree but the Champion plugs have been slipping for a time now. They were my favorite plug at one time. Now I use either Autolite or NGK.

    15x8 w/ 4.5” BS on front/good handling size?

It ‘might’. But on my 70 duster right now with 5x4 and that backspacing it would be maybe 1/16" away from the spring, if not touching. So I guess a LBP conversion might achieve a 3/16" gap between the spring and tire. All this on a 28x10.5. Right now I run 27 x10.2 on a 4.25 bs (sbp) and i...

    Petronix Electronic Ignition Any Good?

This is exactly why I don’t order aftermarket stuff. I run 8 pin GM HEI from a recurved and centrifugal limited stock electronic distributor. You can get that **** anywhere.

I have also used a piece of rubber hose that pushes firmly over the porcelain end and spun them in that way. New hemi's have long tubes too, and it's helpful.

    340 head, intake advice please

Nevermind. I'm stupid. You were talking about the intake ports. Yeah, it's a bit of a mismatch, but Chrysler did it with millions of 318 four barrel engines. They used the large port intake on the small port head. Opposite of what you're doing, but still, they must notta thought much about it...
