    magnum valve train questions

You know, actually if he has a cam core he might be better off calling Oregon Camshaft and getting a regrind. 2 of my sons did that on their 1st motor builds. I am sure it would help with the young man's budget. For the OP : Cam Grinding, Camshafts, Racing & Performance Equipment,

    magnum valve train questions

Maybe you could ask friends who are car guys if they know anyone with a guide cutter. Look around for used headers and intakes etc. Mostly have fun building it with your son. I have three sons, and they are all into mopars. I can't tell you all the good times wev'e had.

    magnum valve train questions

My son runs .575 lift with stock magnum rockers. He has used it daily for work over 4 years with no problems. No need to change to chevy rockers. We did cut the guides, used Hughes retainers, and lunati springs #73949.

Recommendation For Small Block Re-usable Valve Cover Gaskets?

I am still using a set of the MP ones that I bought in the late 80s. They were like$12.99 I think. I should have bought several sets! One of my sons has these, not as good as the old MP ones, no ribs. They have held up well though. https://www.ebay.com/itm/263483891794

Edelbrock heads intake port size CC

I have never personally seen any Airwolf heads, except online. They did have a catchy name though. I've been trying to think up something similar to call mine. The best I have come up with that is similar to Airwolf is Dogfart heads, whatch ya all think?

Edelbrock heads intake port size CC

I think the "Air Wolf" heads that never really panned out were advertised at 225cc. But, it may be my memory thats going... everything else sure is.

    Interesting intake on Facebook tonight

Definitely looks like a Weiand. Good intakes, one of my sons runs one. Picked up a good bit over an Edelbrock airgap.

Killed another cam, need to go roller, need recommendations

Is this the setup you mean? I came close to buying one a few years back, but ended up using tubes. https://wydendorfmachine.com/

Anyone ever taken a nice set of ported Edelbrock heads.

Having a seat and guide machine makes a guy think about things like that!

    My 422 smallblock build

Thanks! It is a shame that Mopar did not relocate the holes. It would have been a simple operation. It looks like I may have a winter project. I agree with keeping the rockers where they are. I ended up with 2 different types of W2 iron rockers for the intakes. I bought/sold rockers from 3...

    My 422 smallblock build

I don't know if @Rocket is still making the shafts. If so, it would be nice if we could get him the correct hole location for W2 shafts. I have a set of his shafts, and they are nice.

    My 422 smallblock build

Do you use something like a bent wire to go in the hole on W2 rockers with the outer hole plugged? I probably should have checked mine. I have done it on 273 rockers, but it was easy with the hole all of tthe way through to the outside.

    New 408 build finally started

This thread, and the fact that I had a set of W2 iron rockers, caused me to have a lot of fun making my set of old procomps have no pushrod pinch. The seat/guide machine was good for moving the pushrod holes. I'd love to have a mill, I'd probably have to eat in the shop.

You could be right, just something I wondered since they all seem to have a little noise.

    Big horsepower 318 builds

I have always wondered, if some of the faint noise in these magnums could come from the dogbone and spider.

    Big horsepower 318 builds

One of my sons, about 4 years ago, got a full 360 magnum for $150 with R/T heads. It was advertised as such on FB Marketplace. Being sure it was a mistake, I messaged the guy and asked if the heads had a big R/T cast on them. He sent pics, and my son and I were burning rubber to go get it. He...

    valve chatter 360 magnum

That is depressing, time slips by too fast! No wonder I feel so old. I still think of any car made after the 70s as being too new .

    Good Cam Choice?

I rebuilt a head for a Mack semi once, it had 20 degree intake seats (Yes, twenty). I had to buy a cutter just for that head. Never used it again. I'd sell it cheap if somebody wants to REALLY step up their low lift flow.....
