they are made in the USA, they will be around for a long time, 101 years and going strong, you dont need a reciept for warranty. Lifetime warranty only applies to hand tools. No one ever gave lifetime to air or power tools.
Just letting you know...
The Chinese are more than capable of making great quality anything, but why would they make great quality unless you paid for it? Think about it, would you make something good quality if you were not paid for it and the competition got paid more for the same product?
Just remember it is people...
Put in lots of plug ins even if you dont have enough electrical equipment, install at least 1 220 volt outlet for welder/ compressor. when you run underground counduit for your electrical from the house put in an extra conduit with a fish wire for future add ons. plan a plug in in the ceiling...
Add more then one 220 outlet, 2inch styrofoam in the floor before you put down concrete , build a room outside for air compressor with 220.
Make all your man doors swing out instead of in, no loss of space in shop then.
No windows and install steel doors for security I used 36" for better...
Instead of dealing with Snap On direct I would suggest getting a hold of a dealer and working one on one with them. Tool man Mike will tell you the same thing, customer service is the number one thing when selling tools. You could be selling no name tools and still give great service and your...
I have a 26 x 22 foot garage with 10 foot high ceilings. I have 15-4ft quads to light up my life! Thats right 90 4 foot flouresent daylight bulbs. I have no problem what so ever working under my car lol.
Compare total cubic inches as well as weight capacity. Not all boxes are created equal!
I always tell my customers to check these two factors.
Physical size does not always mean it will hold more tools!
Mike your going to be very happy with the BK6000. The great thing about the snap on borescope is the different camera ends you can get, the 5.5 mm for injectors there is a dual imager with 180 and true 90 degree and a blue light UV camera. You can also get 72 and 120 inch lengths.
Snap on warranties all hand tools and of course your taps and extractors too. And yes they would warranty your unbroken LH drill bit that untwisted. Should be worth a few pics.
Snap on sells them for around 22.00 -28.00 depending on size. A cheap organizer for wrenches is a 1 inch coil spring. Some of my heavy duty customers use them. Must be big truck related.
Go to www.snapon.com and check tool storage out. Lots of great ideas.
I agree with toolmanmike.
I tell all my young apprentices to go out and start with Mastercraft Professional Series or Craftsman and upgrade from there, start with the most common ones you use and work out from there.
There are some tools that are worth buying the more expensive right from...
And yes I had a 20 x 10 tent for 3 years before I met Herb and started working out of his garage. Lots of credit you the guys who still do what they have to do because they obviously love their cars!
