lol! I added it once and it didn’t load so I did another one and they both loaded. Sorry for the repeat.

I had to remove the leaf spring shackles relocation brackets from the frame. Cut them out and ground the welds down. Did this so the leaf spring slider brackets would mount all the way back against the stock out board mounts.

Had to remove the shackle brackets that were welded to the frame rails so the leaf spring slider brackets would fit in and go all the way back. I cut the brackets out and ground off the welds.

Sorry my inbox was full but I cleaned it out now. I could do that if you would like. I also have my front boxes moved inboard to the frame rails. They have 2 adjusting holes. I’m going to run early 64-65 B body Caltrac bars and split mono leaf springs with a 21” front segment instead of A body...

That’s exactly why I’m doing it this way because I’m building it to drag race I want that adjustability based on track conditions and when weight of car changes. I do have front hangers with 3 adjustment points. I’m just figuring better to have adjustability versus a fixed position

Rather than welding them to the frame rails and then have the slider max out based on position I can move it forward and back a few inches.

Also started stripping down the rear 1/4 panels to see what’s underneath the top layer of primer. The original color is the Frost Green so I’m seeing body filler over the original green paint and a darker green over that plus another skim coat of filler then the gray primer and the black primer...

I cut the mounting plates in half to give me the left and the right sides. I was able to cut them with a table saw and a fine metal cutting blade.

Going to attack vertical plates of aluminum to the plate and it will slide upper to the underside of the frame rails, when I get that made up I will post the pictures

The plate is 1/2 and the bolts are 12mm x 1.75

I just started fabricating my own slider mounting plates rather then welding them to the frame. One side is drilled and taped. I have 4 1/2” of movement forward and back at 1 1/2” increments. Still need to drill and tape the other side of the plate.

Tomorrow I will go under the car with the plates and take pictures to give you the idea on how I think I will mount them, I want to make plates to sandwich between the frame rails with through bolts but I also want to have it with a set of holes so I can also raise and lower the plates for up...
