Anyone using the Mopar 4051004 Fuel Sender?

So the cheap spectra fuel sender bit the dust in my demon, never was happy with the inaccurate fuel readings. I know the latest factory part number is the 4051004 sending unit. Has anyone used one with good results? Also i know that the pickup tube may have to be bent down to touch the bottom of...

Any source on replacement gasket for 71 gas cap?

Does the vent ever go bad? I checked it and it appears to be working correctly, it is allowing air to be sucked through the vent hole and the valve closes when you try to blow through it

Any source on replacement gasket for 71 gas cap?

Thanks everyone for the suggestions, i crossed over that gates number 31743 provided by @66Valiant528 to a stant 10800 cap from oreillys. We get a little bit of a price break from oreillys through my work so i ordered one with my cost being $10. The gasket swapped over perfectly although the...

What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Yeah i didnt mind the stock appearance of the straight plug wires but i figure wouldnt hurt to clean it up some, its so tight back there the straight wires are all over the place lol. Also dont mind my #1 being off one terminal, iirc the distributor i had originally put in had to be clocked that...

What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Was tired of having the straight plug wires going into the distributor, i had the taylor thundervolt wires that were pre made but there was excessive slack and the plug wires would stick up above the air cleaner. Made the swap from the female socket distributor cap to the Summit Racing HEI style...

Best cap and rotor for factory style electronic distributor?

I just ordered this cap and rotor kit from summit, im putting new moroso ultra 40 wires on and they have to be cut to length so i figured might as well update the cap to the more secure hei style. I know a few on here have used them and all positive reviews on summit Summit Racing SUM-G5239...

Read my plugs, was carbon fouling on 93 pump gas but not on 96 vp?

I will try to cut a couple of the spark plugs to see if i can get you guys more info, 5 of the plugs are a touch black mid way down the porcelain but cylinder 7 and 8 look the same and the porcelain is pretty uniform as deep as i can see

Read my plugs, was carbon fouling on 93 pump gas but not on 96 vp?

So should i leave the heat range plug i have in it now and adjust the idle mixture a little leaner? The plugs look white in the photo because of the flash, they are a very light tan/gray in natural light, ill see if i can get some pics of them outside maybe they will show up more true

Read my plugs, was carbon fouling on 93 pump gas but not on 96 vp?

So why the drastic change going from 93 non ethanol pump gas to 96 vp non oxygenated race fuel? Before on 93 the porcelain was black

Read my plugs, was carbon fouling on 93 pump gas but not on 96 vp?

Ok trail beast says too much timing and too hot of a plug, you say not enough timing and too cold of a plug. Lol

Read my plugs, was carbon fouling on 93 pump gas but not on 96 vp?

Thanks for the advice, you are talking about initial timing correct? Also would you recommend i try one range colder?

Read my plugs, was carbon fouling on 93 pump gas but not on 96 vp?

Are you referring to initial or total timing by that mark? Is the initial timing closer to the end of the ground strap or the base? Ive seen some charts and they show being able to see 2 timing marks on the ground strap?

Read my plugs, was carbon fouling on 93 pump gas but not on 96 vp?

Whats the benefit of a non projected plug? Also what is the determining factor or what you look for to determine heat range?
  23. 71DodgeDemon340

Read my plugs, was carbon fouling on 93 pump gas but not on 96 vp?

Can you break down what exactly you are seeing and what i should look for? Too rich at idle? Also too much initial timing?

Read my plugs, was carbon fouling on 93 pump gas but not on 96 vp?

These plugs are a little over 2 years old, no change to carb or anything else since, have been using vp 96 octane non oxygenated fuel for about 6 months. The plugs have never looked that good, they have been pretty much all black on 93 non ethanol
