    [WANTED] ISO rear seat-

I have the rear out of my 70 Dart in black. Had a new top cap put on the back rest due to sun fading, the rest is in really good shape. It’s just taking up space in my spare bedroom and you can have it for free. I’m in Lakeside, basically east San Diego if you’re interested.

Hey Mike, can we group these threads together into one for John? Thanks. Tom

    @pittsburghracer gone.

This is truly sad. John gave so much to this site, whether it was sharing his insight into porting heads or his endless search for a hot woman at Walmart. While I have never met John in person, please allow me to provide some insight to others on the kind of Man John was. Back in 2018 I was...

    Idle Transfer Slot on secondaries?

That works too, just a pain to get to, but free!

    Idle Transfer Slot on secondaries?

Here you go Ron, closer look.

    Idle Transfer Slot on secondaries?

That’s what I did, put a screw in with a bigger head so I could mark it. Square the front, then adjust the secondaries to get the idle where you want it. I also have the butterflies drilled, but my cam is more radical than his.

Good luck! BTW, what headers are you running? Edit: Ah, American Racing!

    Idle Transfer Slot on secondaries?

No Sir, not sure if any carbs actually come with them, think they just drill them to a predetermined size. If I were you, I would just start with squaring the primary Tslot and close the secondary until your idle lowers. After you get there see where you’re at. I think you’re idle is too high...

    Idle Transfer Slot on secondaries?

The top picture is the carb body, the bottom picture is the metering block. BTW, you don’t have adjustable Tslot restrictors.
  10. T

    Idle Transfer Slot on secondaries?

No, they are in the main body of the carb, you need to remove the metering block to see them. In the picture they drilled the hole, tapped it and then drilled set screws to the the size they wanted. Same thing I did.

    Idle Transfer Slot on secondaries?

Yes, that and the metering block. There is a picture of what I’m talking about in the link and an explanation. Welcome to the rabbit hole of carb tuning! https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/racingfuelsystems/transfer-slot-restrictor-picture-t1392.html

    Idle Transfer Slot on secondaries?

I was commenting on the Tslot restrictors, they would be jets in the main body of the carb.

    Idle Transfer Slot on secondaries?

Do this to both carbs regardless of which one you wish to use. This will calm down your idle circuit and make tuning exponentially easier. https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/racingfuelsystems/relocating-the-holley-idle-jet-t18.html My guess it doesn’t have have one, my Quickfuel didn’t, drilled...

    shots from the garage...

The heat’s been pretty brutal out here too, had a month of 100+ with some mixed in 112/113’s. Finally calmed down some and in the 80/90’s. So tightening the terminals fixed the two step ya think? I honestly hate electrical problems and been working in the field for 35 years…

We had some guys on submarines get them, automatic disqualification for sub duty, docs always said it was front too much sugary liquid intake. They were Navy doctors though….

IS BLUE LOCTITE OK FOR CONVERTOR AND FLEXPLATE BOLTS?

I use ARP Ultra Torque, comes with their bolts. I wouldn’t use red, unless you plan it together forever.

No, mine is cloth wrapped, I think they impregnate the Teflon with a conductive material.

PTFE For Fuel Line - Conductive vs Non-conductive

I used this stuff years ago when I did mine. Didn’t even know about it the static issue, but looks like they already had it covered. https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/group.asp?GroupID=PLUMANFLEX

    1 7/8 Header Selection

Well that sucks, ordered some 75140's from JEGS this weekend only to get an email today that they are no longer in production... Did some more looking around today and found a post from someone on here who ordered some TA's about two years ago and they were lower than their old ones. Couldn't...

    1 7/8 Header Selection

Yep, manual box showed up Thursday, Mancini adapter tomorrow and have been sitting on my QA1 K member. Finally realized I needed bigger headers with what the stroker is putting out and have been looking for a box to show up on here. If I could find some 5303's it would be a done deal. Since...
