So here’s a better view, you move the pedal from the center of the pedal box to the left side. I’ll have to install it and figure out the correct spacing for the pushrod and then alter the pedal to be where is comfortable.

    392 & 8hp70 65 Valiant

I think I saw that in your build. I’d like to keep everything together the way it should be and would prefer to not have to unbolt the master cylinder to change plugs so this made sense. It’s a pretty straightforward install.

    392 & 8hp70 65 Valiant

No I’ve gotta move the pedal over, I’ll be sure to send an update when I get it out and mocked up. It comes with some chromoly tube to move the pedal, and then probably take the jog out of the pedal arm and make it straight.

    392 & 8hp70 65 Valiant

Got the MR Performance master cylinder adapter in. It kicks the master over all the way! Should do the trick. Need to still pull the pedal assembly out and modify the rest of it to work. Then we can get the adapter off to powder coat. Might need to go to a banjo bolt style brake line, it’s close...

Same, if your ever in the area do reach out. Sounds good, seems like a hemi swap in a newer abody couple be a little easier. But definitely still has its complications I’m sure. It may be a dream but I’d love to get this thing done and drive it to Hot August nights in Reno one of these days.

Gerst suspension. Right before he sold.
  7. V8-valiant

    392 & 8hp70 65 Valiant

I appreciate that, I don’t have any reference as to where the “correct location” should be. I placed it where it’s happy. I wanted to utilize the SRV so a little further forward is what was needed. Are you building a gen3 swapped a body too? I’ve seen your pretty active on a few builds. I’ve got...

    392 & 8hp70 65 Valiant

Wow it’s been a while. Got the engine back from the builder, set it in place to start tackling some of the details. Boy this is tight! I’ve got the fuel system complete, the coil covers trimmed and fit, got the heater tubes mostly figure out, working on radiator hoses and then a little steering...

    [WANTED] Wtb/wtt 65 valiant hood

I don’t know for sure, but I think not. I can’t think of where the hood release is on the barracuda… the 65 valiant has the hood release in the center of the hood under the “Plymouth” trim.

    [WANTED] Wtb/wtt 65 valiant hood

Looking to buy or trade a nice uncut 65 valiant hood. I had cut my original hood for a carb hat cause it wouldn’t fit. Wish I hadn’t. Anyone thinking of cutting up an original hood for a scoop? I’d love to trade, or will just buy a nice hood. Will meet anywhere in Washington, Oregon or Idaho.

RMS rear 4 link, not symmetrical?

Ok, I’ve adjusted the front to both read 38 3/4 and the both rear coil overs are set exactly the same and the measurement I ended up with was 34 1/4 on the passenger rear and 34 3/8 on the drivers rear. That’s not really enough to worry about is it? Just give the passenger rear coil over a turn...

RMS rear 4 link, not symmetrical?

I’ll have to pull them off and investigate. I will report what I find.

RMS rear 4 link, not symmetrical?

I’ll have to pull them off and apart and check.

RMS rear 4 link, not symmetrical?

I think it’s just the way the spring was clocked on the strut. Here’s a recent photo with them adjusted the same. Also they have the same part number.
  17. V8-valiant

RMS rear 4 link, not symmetrical?

Installed the RMS 4 link rear in my 65 valiant and I had to adjust the passenger side strut up an inch more than the drivers side to get the same height from side to side. The passenger side is nearly maxed out. This can’t be right, links are all within an 1/4” With both struts adjusted equally...

    392 & 8hp70 65 Valiant

Got the fuel pump and sending unit all wired up and routed. The main power wire to the bulkhead just need to fasten it down and the trunk portion should be done with a little bit of clean up. The RMS 4 link showed up and put that in and tack welded into place. I decided to do this for a couple...

    392 & 8hp70 65 Valiant

Thank you, having had this car since 2005 I’ve done the “slapped together for now, to get it going” many times than I care to mention. I made the decision that it doesn’t matter how long it will take I don’t want to cut any corners and do any of the same familiar “I’ll just do this for now till...
