    Front end rebuild 1972 Duster

Very nice progress! I also bought the HF 20 ton shop press for the front end work on the Scamp. I've been very satisfied with mine.

Front End Rebuild - my first rodeo

I appreciate that. I actually contacted the guy, so we'll see. Mainly I'm concerned about whether there are any negative consequences to using the Moog part. Movement/stress is mainly the ball in the socket that's greased from the top, right?

Front End Rebuild - my first rodeo

@townsend thanks! Any issues with the Moog part not having the boot? It's already on the car. I looked at those numbers - sheesh - some prices on eBay! $300 for a 1975 Idler arm? Negative.

Front End Rebuild - my first rodeo

Have any of you guys come across this? The Moog K7086 Idler arm doesn't have a rubber boot where it attaches to the center link. The original one I removed did have a rubber "boot" there, but it was almost completely mashed. Also, the Moog Idler arm has some sponge like discs that only seem to...

Front End Rebuild - my first rodeo

Well guys, I've been back at it. After thinking about it and doing some research, I discovered that it would be COMPLETELY obvious if the torsion bars were installed incorrectly or clocked wrong. When I installed these, the LCA had to be lowered a hair to get the hex lined up. It would have...

Front End Rebuild - my first rodeo

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I installed the bumper on perch and UCA is basically resting on it when I jack up the lower control arm. Looks like I may have clocked the T bars wrong? It really seemed like another turn on the hex of the t bar (either way during installation) would have...

Front End Rebuild - my first rodeo

I'm referring to the round rubber bump stop that mounts to the frame frail "perch". The one that bolts on the LCA would go on right now, no problem. Also, why is the Upper ball joint shaft on a 45* angle almost? Help.

Front End Rebuild - my first rodeo

Ugh! Frustrated, I needed to walk away! :BangHead: What am I doing wrong? The UCA is so close I can not install the rubber bump stop. I've tried putting it under load with floor jack, frame rails resting on stands. I'm waiting to figure this out prior to rotors, calipers, brakes. Any help is...

Front End Rebuild - my first rodeo

I am using the Hellwig sway bar. It went on the car a few years ago and worked well. What do you mean?

Need help with idler arm ID

I've just noticed the difference too, on my 75 Scamp. Searched and and found this post. Thanks for the info guys!

Front End Rebuild - my first rodeo

Hello fellow A Body fans! I haven't posted a lot here recently, so I thought I would share my progress on my first front suspension rebuild! Thanks to @Kern Dog for some great advice, and my trusty factory service manual, along with reading through threads here and FBBO, I am well on my way to...

    Can you ID this clip?

Thanks for the fast responses! When you say older - the trans is a 1968 727 out of an Imperial. I can't tell from your pic @Oldmanmopar but this may have come from that transmission?

    Can you ID this clip?

Hello fellow Mopar brothers and sisters! I am getting my 75 Scamp back together and I've come across this clip that for the life if me, I cannot remember where it goes. I've looked through pics on my phone that I took prior to A LOT of work, but some of the chassis shots are too dark. I...

Kidney Stone tamed down so I’m at it again. Always feels good to grab a grinder after a little break.

I had a small one I passed a few years back, and that HURT like a MFer!

Chrysler Carlisle 2024 where ya at?

I will be walking around in the heat trying to see as much as I can (and maybe score some 73 and up strut rod bushings). ALSO... I'll be hanging out at the FBBO/FABO Tent!

400 into 73 v8 duster using stock mounts

I was just coming on here today to thank @Jim Lusk for his Lower Control Arm videos on Youtube. They helped me tremendously with getting the bushings out of my 75 Scamp! Thank you Mr. Lusk!

    Strut Rod Bushings

I'm rebuilding the front suspension on my Scamp, and I also wondered this as well, although not with the MevoTech in the mix. How can the ES part work for both?

Stop in for a cup of coffee

I'm getting back to my 383 A Body project in which I installed B Body HP manifolds in my '75 Scamp and had it running and driving (but low compression). Schumacher /6 --> BB kit. I abandoned the column shift dream, TOO tight. Now, B&M Quicksilver, and converted my column to remove column shift...

Stop in for a cup of coffee

Good morning folks, enjoying coffee here and SUPER excited about the tti headers I ordered for my Scamp this week!

    FORUM TTI SUPPLIER

@BrianT The prices are the same on the parts, I think they're set by tti. Shipping cost depends where you live. All of the retailers have these headers drop shipped. If you are in the market, give Rob a call, a good guy! Customer service = A+

    FORUM TTI SUPPLIER

Just here to report that I just ordered tti headers at Rob's Rod Shop Rob's a great guy to deal with, very knowledgeable about Mopars, and has experience with installing most tti products. He answered any product questions I had, and we talked cars for almost an hour!
