I'm using Peter's SPC arms and I think I have 450lb springs. Are you getting the 2" ball joints? They actually make a difference you can feel. Try and get 7+ degrees of caster and 1.5 degrees of camber. I was watching your car at Moparty and it looked like it could use more aggressive alignment...

Yes, and then some. I started a while back by cutting the tube that extended out the K flush and still ran a spacer. I mostly did this to bring the wheel center while running almost 7 degrees of caster. I just took the spacer out and put a thin machine washer next to the bushing.

Tires arrived and I had them mounted up. This is my old 235/40 compared to the new 265/35 for the front. I'll get some more photos outside once I get my alignment done. I moved the LCA forward more to get the tire away from the rear side of the fender. The front wheels are 1/8" further out...

Restomod or Original OEM style?? - Feedback Appreciated!

I'm not looking to hijack a thread, or get into a pissing match over which is better. I've run both the stock style stuff and now on an HDK setup. I like both and I think there is a place for both. However, I want to clarify, "driving hard" on the street will never duplicate a road course or...

Restomod or Original OEM style?? - Feedback Appreciated!

Sounds to me like you don't intend to do any track or autocross. Why spend money where you don't need to? There's an easy recipe to make your car feel completely different. (with all new bushings of course) Borgenson steering box 1.03" or larger t-Bars sway bar Bilstein or better shocks Disc...

Butters "Winter Upgrades". . Starting a Little Early

Do yourself a favor and put some dynomat (or some version of it) on the floor when you're done welding. I recently added some extra jute type insulation on the front floor pans to help keep the heat down from the headers. It make a huge improvement. The console used to get so hot I couldn't lean...

Wheels showed up. I'm very pleased at the Kansei customer service and the quality of the wheel is really good. What's funny is the front wheel is wider than my current front tire mounted to a wheel. I'm excited to finally have a wide wheel in the front. While taking the front off to test fit, I...

My current wheels have “tuner” lug nuts. I remember not knowing what the hell that meant, but apparently it isn’t anything special. I’ll likely go with a 265 or 275 in the front and a 295 in the back. The TMI seat brackets bolt to the floor, then they have adapter brackets for the sliders...

Nah man. I'm an open book and have nothing to hide. I'm going with the Kansei Corsa. 18x9 and 18x10.5. I'm going to get some new 200TW tires for these and get some normal street tires for my current wheels. I figure if I'm already swapping in a race seat to go autocross, which takes all of 2...

I tried very hard to mount the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail so I could keep the fender wells clean. Nothing would work, so here it mounted on the fender well. After I got the pressure set, I could immediately tell it was happier. The old corvette regulator was at 75psi at idle. Fuel...

Anyone running a cable throttle body on a 5.7?

Most standalone system harnesses are designed to work with GM type sensors for IAC, TPS, CLT, MAT, etc. I have no idea what the BBK sensors are compatible with. Maybe someone makes adapters for this, but I'm not aware. You may be better off using an LS style throttle body.

If you get a driveshaft this week, you have to throw the seat in and go for a ride! I know you probably still have all the wiring stuff to do, but dang, what's taking so long?

Went to cruising the coast again on Saturday. I usually just hang out and watch cars drive by all day on the Saturday of this event. A gentleman approaches me and asked what front suspension setup I had on the car, which I gladly provided the HDK information. He promptly says, "those coil overs...

Put down another 180ish street miles at Cruising the Coast yesterday with about 15 autocross runs in between. Now that I have a fair amount of street miles and autocross miles on the G3 swap, I have a short list of items to upgrade/fix. I think I'm finally going to break down and buy the PSC...

    6.4l budget build….kind of

I used a Cam Motion Titan 2 cam in my 5.7 and I'm very happy with it. They have a Titan 2 for the VVT engines also, although the specs are different. Since you are using a stand alone ECU, you can use almost any cam you want. If you aren't afraid of doing some port work, I'd bet you could clean...

How to make your G3 alternator a 1 wire connection

I'll also mention that you need to make sure the case of the alternator has a good ground that is common with B-. Modern electronics require many more grounds that are connected to the battery than these cars did back when they were built. My motto for EFI system is, if you think you have enough...

It's so good I sold the small block at Moparty. Don't need that where I'm going... Why did it take me so long to get on the bandwagon? I wish people would preach how good it is like I'm am. I need other people to make the same expensive decisions I do.

Butters "Winter Upgrades". . Starting a Little Early

I previously ran a 1.08 t-bar, Hotchkis shocks, and their sway bars. You will read online that big bars will beat you to death. That statement couldn't be more false. If you have a good shock to control the spring rate a big bar offers, you will be good. You will also be amazed at how just a...

DOES THE HDK SUSPENSION K-MEMBER HANDLE BETTER THAN A T-BAR SUSPENSION?

That's him. I never looked at his setup super close, but I peaked under it this time and saw stock stamped steel UCAs! Factory style Chrysler steering box, not a borgenson. I realize some of this stuff can have modifications, but dang it's unassuming! Great car, great guy.
