    Have you ever lost

I lost my enthusiasm in the last few years as well. I spend all day doing machine work and engine building for others, and literally never touch my stuff anymore. Almost all my cars, engines and parts have been/or are for sale, but no one else seems interested in them either. Rebuilding a 69...

Line up the reluctor with one of the pickups, is the other pickup offset slightly from the reluctor. Probably a retard deal for high gear

All my early years I only replaced one for a customer.

    Have you ever lost

Back in 2011 I was driving the 340 Duster with the windows down when all of the threads holding the headliner turned to dust and I had to drive home with one hand on the steering wheel (no power steering) and the other trying to keep enough of the headliner out of my face in order to drive. My...

Guys this is why you work on your car trailer

I hear all these enclosed heavy trailer horror stories and am thankful I have an open trailer I am super happy with. Car and golf car on it, and never blown even a single tire on the few I have had in the last 25-30 years. Knock on wood

    factory magnum head replacement options

Speedmaster makes a cast iron Magnum stock replacement head. Speedmaster makes an aluminum LA head that is basically a copy of the Edelbrock Performer RPM LA head. EQ (Engine Quest) makes a cast iron Magnum stock replacement head. Most likely EQ and Speedmaster are getting their cast iron...

    Have you ever lost

Drove my Dart to the Woodward Cruise and that was it. Need to work on the other cars but the cash is very low. Yea and getting slower in my old age. I tried to do a job to help make life easier for myself but it all turned to **** and only managed to hurt myself more. Ya and the **** parts! And...

    Have you ever lost

I shall interject. I have multiple hobbies, and my interest in them is ever shifting. I might go several months or years without touching a hobby, but I often circle back to it eventually. The Duster took me 3 years to build and perfect, and I circled off it several times for my other...

    Wheel Vintiques quality

If there is a will there is a way. I installed US Indy wheels 15 X 8.5 on the front of my B300 72' dodge van, 35 years ago, but I had to grind a little off the caliber for clearance. The van came with 16 inch wheels. I needed a fatter tire for my installed 340. Rears were 10", but that was no...

383 appearing, 400 stroker with stealth heads question.

I agree 1000% I did a very simple 400/470. Eagle crank, Manley 6.760 rod, Diamond piston, 10.2:1, box stock Eddy head w/springs for a Comp street solid roller, Eddy RPM intake, 800 Holley. Runs great, idles nicely at 850 rpm, pulls hard through the middle. On a chassis dyno it made 500 ft lbs...

    Swinging for Divorce…

Ordered the good tools… Ordered some tube, the rear SS line that goes from the hard line to the rear T- adapter… hopefully everything needed to do the rear brake lines. Pain in the butt but it’s ok. Probably won’t get to it for 2 weeks since I’m going to South Carolina next week.

I was sure that the speedmaster heads were the aluminum LA heads. I didn’t realize that speedmaster was the corp that made the new iron magnum castings. Not sure if I am confused…

    340 Overheat / Radiator Geyser

I'm thinking old car, old motor sitting awhile, spring in lower hose rotted and jamb in pump. Happen to me once. I knew the pump was the issue, so when I took the pump out, there was the spring, stuck in the prop. Crazier things have happened. This is my thought.

Guys this is why you work on your car trailer

That was a game changer for me too John…. Dumped the E rated tires for some Greenball Towmaster G rated tires. Only caviet is that I’m quite sure my wheels are not rated for them. Usually leave the house with them at 90psi. I wouldn’t buy a trailer that didn’t have 16” wheels. I also take...

Sorry to read Rick, I hear ya with losing ambition. I love driving the cuda but it always seems like any work I do on it takes 10 times longer and my frustration is 10 times shorter. That is a really cool ride!
