Putting up a shop in CA - fire department being a pain

I built mine in 2006. Things may have changed since then but it sure is rare to see the government DROP any sort of fee.

Butters "Winter Upgrades". . Starting a Little Early

What size tires are on Hoopty? Other than a rental Challenger 5.7/8A, I don't have much personal experience but I will say it was lots of fun. I know a 2.71 or similar should match up well with a 26" tire and feel like a Challenger R/T with the 3.06 and those have a plenty usable 1st gear.

Putting up a shop in CA - fire department being a pain

After Paradise burned to the ground the state building code was changed to improve fire department access to properties and buildings. That part of the fire code actually draws a distinction at 1 acre and above, so a bunch of the access requirements for properties over 1.0 acres are different...

I sold pretty darn near all the car kits I had...kept a few parts. MISTAKE! You know what happens: oh, I had one of these, I always wanted that kit, my Buddy built that kit in high school...and then, Hobby Lobby has 40% off. The shelves are getting crowded, may have to actually build one over...

    New Build Startup Issue

Teeing the PCV together with the booster is gonna make the back cylinders idle lean. Good luck tuning that. The PCV should be running to the front of the carb, and entering the intake thru a channel provided that will mix transfer-slot fuel into it, and hopefully every cylinder will get proper...

Putting up a shop in CA - fire department being a pain

Thanks guys I just got off the phone with a different lady and she said just keep calling around because other people have found companies that will write off on a compaction test for just the dirt and no extra construction is necessary unless the dirt is just naturally too soft. She couldn't...

Ours was coal and then probably fuel oil if it was replaced or converted. When we moved in, there was a huge old cast iron natural gas fired boiler. We replaced it a few years ago with a Weil McClain Ultra boiler.

Are Speedmaster Heads Good? I've Heard a Lot of Bad Press on Edelbrock 340 Heads Lately

How can the speedmasters be garbage? I paid $440 with shipping for mine (bare castings) on black friday 2020, so with good hardware I have $8-900 in the heads. Best 1/8 mile on mine in a 3320lb car was 7.21 at 94mph in the 1/8th, seems like good ET economy to me. Granted the tricklflows are...

Grandma and Grandpa's house had coal furnace till sometime in the 60's. I remember going downstairs and the "coal bin" was there and told not to go in cause you'll get covered in dust. 1974 Plymouth Valiant Scamp - Restoration is a strong word

So, about the trans fluid leaks, I knew the selector shaft seal was bad, but I also discovered leaking at the tail shaft, so I pulled that seal and ordered a new one. Then I attacked the shift selector seal. When I realized how tight it was under the car, I decided to pull the crossmember...
