been cruising downtown Findlay since 1971.

Clean well, sand/scuff, I used POR-15 (self-levels) and a brush/two coats. Took off carb. Super tedious especially from underneath (used a shortened brush). Has held up for four years. I had someone else spray the valve covers.

Masking tape, aluminum foil and a good quality spray bomb make the end result nicer. I've done several in the car. Paint prep is the main determinant of how well it comes out.

Don’t go for the air shocks. The upper shock mounts are not designed to take/support the weight of the back half of the car. The leaf spring mounts are designed to take the weight of the back half of the car. Just get your existing rear spring re-arched or new springs with a higher arch.

Went out this evening, started ripping some 3/8” plywood for fastening the windlacing in the Studebaker. Hooe to cut some wind noise.

felpro 1646 are well worth the $44. They are ultra thick with a steel core. I have had a set on my solid roller cam 408 for probably 15 years. I check lash 2/3 times a season. I think i even clearance'd mine a little bit for a super victor intake paired with some thick flange fabricated alum...
