Can't Find My Oil Filter Wrenches Anywhere Today

Changed the oil for the first time in my wife's Jeep, warrantee finally ran out. Did not have a filter wrench to fit it, so a trip to the parts store. Owners manual said it took 4.5 qts, liars it took 5.5 so another trip to the parts store. She is happy, it cost her less than the dealership...

    Too Hot

That’s a good idea, I’ll check that. The air draw through the radiator should increase with higher engine temps (after it’s warmed up) and higher RPM, correct?

    .480/230 cam in an 8.5 CR 360?

I'd install that cam at least down to 103 ICL and might go as far as 100.

Need a quality rebuild kit for my Thermoquad ....

I use Ninja Fuel Systems on ebay. They are in Georgia and all their kits are ethanol friendly.

    Introducing Project "Scabra Tulitque"

Update: Now the coolant temperature gauge is working but takes a long time to make it over up to the normal operating range (like half an hour of driving). The fuel gauge came back up from empty to showing a quarter tank full. Don't know if either gauge is measuring things accurately or not.

    Have you ever lost

Maybe I'm jaded, working on other people's stuff, just leaves no time for my junk. But there is allways something cool in my shop. Like this all aluminum HEMI, will be a 528 cube pump gas street car deal. I guess I get more enjoyment now by doing cool stuff for other people.

Can't Find My Oil Filter Wrenches Anywhere Today

I don't even remember seeing the short filter back in the 1960's or 1970's. With the 90 degree adaptor, no need for a short filter anyway.

My plans for my 69 Dart Swinger 340

1.) Add power steering. 2.) Add front disc brakes. 3.) Add rear air shocks. 4.) Adjust front ride height up maybe 2 inches. What order should I do all this? I know the front will need an alignment after the ride height adjustment and probably after the disc brake conversation. Any...

Last one to post in this thread wins!

I think you are mixing up the voltage regulator with a ammeter shunt. What year? Over charging most common problem is high resistance in the voltage regulating circuit.

    New Build Startup Issue

As AJ mentioned I also had a module (hei) that the polarity was wrong, pulled our hair out for hours on a brand new motor. Guy that worked for me mentioned it ( I had never heard of that ),flipped the wires around and all was well, good luck I hope you get it figured out!

    .480/230 cam in an 8.5 CR 360?

I just tore down a 360 I've had for 20+ years, zero to low-mile rebuild when I got it, and very little use since. The cam looks to be an older Lunati Bracket Master 2, (as all my timing events match), w/ .480" lift, 230 deg duration (@ .050), and a 109 LSA. As it's installed straight up...

Putting up a shop in CA - fire department being a pain

I should probably know the exact date the code changed, but the Camp Fire was 2018 and the code was updated after that to improve access for fire apparatus.
