I recently got burnt on some kits from fleabay that the seats would not fully
screw into the carb lid (AFB)
I suspect chinesium

Who makes a quality, complete, carb kits

I use Ninja Fuel Systems on ebay. They are in Georgia and all their kits are ethanol friendly.

Yep,this is a big problem in California. The ethanol does a number on traditional rubber diaphragms in fuel pumps, rubber fuel lines,as well as carb kits. Ethanol fuel also causes less efficient combustion which results in reduced mileage....but it's "green". Lol.

It puts green in politicians' pockets. I'll just stop right there.

Exactly! Ethanol is also hygroscopic, undergoes phase separation...there's nothing good about it at all for drivers. I suppose we should be thankful the tyrants still let us drive these cars anymore....I feel sorry for those who collect 1976 and later cars out here. Anything 1976 and later still has to pass smog tests both visual and out the tailpipe every other year.

Even though the brand names on the kits may be different, I would guess many of the small parts are made in the same place [ you guessed it!]....
I have had TWO occasions where the acc pump plunger rubber 'rolled up' & there was no pump shot. In both cases, E fuel was NOT used, so cannot blame E.
I buy a leather acc pump separately when I rebuild a TQ.
