Any other time I'd see a '63 Vette sitting there like that I'd feel the exact same way. But given my predilection (and collection) of '67-72 Ford pickups, well.....

Changing crankshaft bearings with the engine in the car.

Also, consider the higher spring pressure the roller camshaft use. It might not be "much" in comparison to aftermarket stuff, but that could be a factor.

No not for a 73 Duster. They didn't come with a spacer

Changing crankshaft bearings with the engine in the car.

I haven’t heard a lot about the cam bearings, but I do know that a considerable number of the cams produced weren’t adequately heat treated. I have seen an early 5.9 magnum before that had the cam bearings pretty well chewed up in it before. The cam was showing signs of delaminating on the...

PTFE For Fuel Line - Conductive vs Non-conductive

I worked at a hydraulic shop for many years we were a Parker Hannafin distributor. I built lots of fuel lines for myself and many customers. I always used the 919B static dissipating PTFE stainless Hoses.

That's the way it should be done but I've done it and most body guys just put it over bare metal and it works out just fine. and then epoxy over the filler.

    Painting engine in engine bay?

Oh and do yourself a big favor and paint it body color. I was in a hurry to put my newly rebuilt engine in and at the last minute decided to paint the engine compartment. I prepped it and painted it rattle can gloss black. It turned out pretty good but I still catch crap from the Mopar crowd...

Need a quality rebuild kit for my Thermoquad ....

Yep,this is a big problem in California. The ethanol does a number on traditional rubber diaphragms in fuel pumps, rubber fuel lines,as well as carb kits. Ethanol fuel also causes less efficient combustion which results in reduced mileage....but it's "green". Lol.

Changing crankshaft bearings with the engine in the car.

Did that in a 307 SBC, 71 Nova on my back under the car, I assumed that I would have to drop the crank just enough to get the shells in and out. In retrospect, I could have probably not had to drop the crank. So, yes, if you can get the pan off, you can change the shells
