I am of the one I had. It was June of 76. I don't remember what Bruce's was. He had two. The other was a slant 6 cop car. With big bolt pattern and discs on the front of course. I wish I knew what happened to that car.

Hit report post at the bottom of your thread, and just asked to have it deleted. It’s the easiest and the quickest.

I had a 1976 with 4 wheel 9" drums but it was long before I thought about build dates or option codes. Are you certain of the build date of the car? If you believe google and AI answers, it is somewhat vague...

    New to Mopar A bodies

Going off memory, it looks like it was built a little less than 3000 units before mine. And in the same factory, too. Same color as mine, too? KG8? Does it have the shock mount bumpers front and back like mine does?

I'm not the only one that thinks the other way, see the last post in this thread #54. Front end rebuild....buy new or rebuild? The feds had a habit of mandating things on January 1st. I'm not 100% sure either way.

So I was having Voltage drop somewhere and decided to bite the bullet and pull/ inspect / clean and replace as necessary. I can safely say I’m glad I got after it before I smoked my wiring. Some pics of what I found…Bad corrosion. Big red wire was the worst Corrosion = Resistance = Heat PO did...

No. 4 wheel drum brakes were used all the way through the 76 model.

    My Luck

But not as perfect as the fold down rear seat my 69 Barracuda had. I bought it when I was 18. That was back when drive-in movies were popular. Nuff said.

To me, these cars are cool for their "weird" factor. They were the last year of the A body and they threw what they had to get them to be more fuel efficient. The one that I have was built 11-75 so it could have been a 4 wheel drum model. The rumor that I heard was that after January 1 1976...

Duster Breaks FAST Small Block Record

How is this even possible??? It is some kind of time warp where Dusters are running 4 seconds faster than they did when new? Wow... Has anyone got a video, I'd love to see that run.

yeah hughes used to do it but the last time i called he said he has quit I'll make some brackets to raise the comp enough to let the hose clear and then just get a longer belt. thanx for the advice but I don't have a magnum intake to drill the two useless air gaps I have one is a crosswind that...

Should i even bother with with getting a higher compression ratio?

The sweet spot for either truck or car is.....it's already there. Don't eff with it.
