I had a 1976 with 4 wheel 9" drums but it was long before I thought about build dates or option codes. Are you certain of the build date of the car? If you believe google and AI answers, it is somewhat vague...

Going off memory, it looks like it was built a little less than 3000 units before mine. And in the same factory, too. Same color as mine, too? KG8? Does it have the shock mount bumpers front and back like mine does?

No. 4 wheel drum brakes were used all the way through the 76 model.

Well THAT is sure true, and all the more reason to actually check TDC.

To me, these cars are cool for their "weird" factor. They were the last year of the A body and they threw what they had to get them to be more fuel efficient. The one that I have was built 11-75 so it could have been a 4 wheel drum model. The rumor that I heard was that after January 1 1976...
