There is one of these around the corner from me also Steve. I see it once in a while in the guy's driveway & I'm pretty sure he's a Ford guy though, so next time I see him or the truck out, I can stop and ask about it. It look's from the street that is fairly decent shape too.

I would cut the heads, not the intake......otherwise those heads heads are married to THAT intake. What happens with the intake if there is a divorce....

Sounds like, for whatever reason, the t/blades are open too far at idle which is causing the vac adv port to be operating at idle, adding timing. For 'whatever reason' could be a myriad of things such as a vac leak, very low compression etc.....

CFD, You need to remover the carb, turn it over, & make sure the gasket/spacer all the carb passages.

Increasing CR one point from 8.5 will produce more HP than increasing HP one point when at 11.5. With this cam, the power increase is hardly going to be felt through the mid range to whatever the top end will be. Where it will be felt is in better idle quality, more vacuum & more 'snap' when...

Even though the brand names on the kits may be different, I would guess many of the small parts are made in the same place [ you guessed it!].... I have had TWO occasions where the acc pump plunger rubber 'rolled up' & there was no pump shot. In both cases, E fuel was NOT used, so cannot blame...

Which type/brand name hood tach would be suitable for my 72 Demon and where would I get one? I know, they didn’t come with a hood tach but I like the look and would consider installing one. Anyone??
