Tried another starter (joys of hoarding parts!). I believe this was an OLD Mopar performance starter. It has offset wire hookup from the factory. I'm seeing a drop on my display to about 8v (happens so fast it's hard to see) on the first crank but it's turning over wayyyy better than it did...
These fenders will be great for a daily driver or restoration.
The bumpers are in good to very good condition. They come with lights and mounting brackets. I would like $100. For each.
I also have some good hood letters and stainless trim for the sides. The spear style. Plus a useable hood...
Gave a quick scan, sorry if I missed it.
Are you using synthetic oil.
If so, before tearing it down, try changing to dino-oil, 10/40 with zinc, for grins and giggles, prove or disprove old argument.
Good luck
My brother-in-law just acquired a 63 Dodge dart slant 6 904 push button transmission. The transmission struggles to switch gears. Would it be best to switch out to more later model 904 or rebuild the original. In my opinion I would find a cheap later model 904 and install a aftermarket shifter.
I have bought legendary since the 80's. Can't beat them, but 1 year still wait time?? Grandma was slow but she was 105 years old!!!!
IF you want a local shop make them, be sure to see a sample of vinyl first for color and grain!
Well then, I guess you already know, that during the swap you will need to get the right Flex-plate and or Weighted convertor.
Have you considered a diaphragm clutch.
Mine is easy on the knee and was more than I needed so I softened it yet more. Depending on your application, you might be...
Yes. Sure enough is tight on the new one. I really needed to go with a distributor that I can change curves easily as my engine will be getting at a minimum new cam and torque converter at some point. This dizzy is programmable from my phone or laptop. Small family business in Florida. They...
Most likely the screws that are being used are not the original screws. I have found that even though the thread size is the correct, the heads are usually smaller than what was original. Kinda like a 2"x4" which is actually a smaller size 1 1/2"x 3 1/2"
It was checked at speed before repairs and sleeving the center bolt and after all that was completed and it did not break apart before or after. And if you end up being right later, whatever… the scoop owes me nothing and it would be opportunity to change things up, but I am sure it will be...
The night I ate up a 69 Camaro with a 302 in it I enjoyed every bite. Especially when the local Chevy builder told everyone I was dead meat. Lol. Beautiful car and I don’t remember ever seeing or hearing about it again other than how pissed off he was. Funny thing is my property borders the...
I'm trying to adapt a driveshaft with 1330 eyes to what I think is a 7260 yoke that was in a smallblock 727.
A 7260 u joint fits it but when I try to source a 1330 to 7260 the part #s I'm coming up with Spicer 5-3246 or cross referenced UJ-457, as well as a Moog 372 and its just not working out...
I've been using red loctite for years with no issues upon dis-assembly. I've since switched to the orange mid-grade loctite, just in case the red is too much.
Do not sell them too Cheap!!
I still have about 50 or more Camshafts form the last Century.
If I need something different = I will just have them reground and
reconditioned. I just had my Camshaft friends recondition one for
me last week.
