You were correct SIX. It didn't work......it moved the dist in the wrong direction. Back to square one. No one else has had this happen? Thanks.

My second oldest grandson got his G1 yesterday. He's proud as punch and has been out driving a couple of times. He has also been contacted by his principle that he is getting an award from 2023/2024 for his achievements. He was a little bugger when he was younger but has done a 180 and a great...

    Too Hot

...advance quit ........... At 2500, your engine will like cruize timing in the window of 50/55 degrees. maybe even more. anything less than 48*, I would consider retarded cruise-timing. or 2) the rad is not passing air thru it, in the correct direction, lol, or not getting air in the first...

    Any Jeep technicians out there?

So we do have a switch on the dash which simply disables the system but dose not solve the problem, I tried disconnecting the voltage sensor on the negative terminal but that did not change things, I found a thread on the web of a fellow that experienced the exact same symptoms and replaced the...

Slant 6 engine ignition timing stays retarded.

There's only one slot therefore only one position to clock it. I've had it in and out multiple times over the last two months doing cleaning and maintenance. I had a bad pu coil in there and Rock Auto sucked by sending me two bad ones(two different brands. Long story). I ended up buying a nice...

904 trans issues in need of help

So just for clarification; you're saying that 1) at Zero mph, there is NO noise in manual low, nor in reverse? but there is noise in Drive @ zero mph. 2) the trans drives the car in either position without slipping? Then I agree with @Ikopaska /post #4

    Footbrake racing

Actually I was up to Gainsville two weeks ago. I was supposed to be at the slant six race this weekend at Knoxville Dragway. But I had a problem with care for my wife. She can't be left alone for too many hours (medical issues). There are probably "driver assist" devices I have never heard of...

Putting up a shop in CA - fire department being a pain

Nobody lives forever, that's for sure. But there are plenty of completely preventable/mitagatable situations that can kill you that could be mitigated by a professional paid fire response that won't be mitigated by many volunteer departments, by no real fault of their own. And whether you like...

    Footbrake racing

Let me clarify my statement. I don't have a problem with a manually triggered trans brake. What I have a problem with is delay boxes, and all those other "crazy" things, like leaving hard, then throttling back then going full throttle again (by computer). If the driver has full manual control...

    I need help !

You got an on-head valve spring compressor? You can't have too much pressure cuz if a valve falls into the cylinder, yur pooched. I use the string method, which involves a woven cloth starter rope from a lawnmower. This makes it impossible to drop a valve.
