    Sixpack on a 318 engine ?

Never understood why folks look down on a 318. If a 302 ford and 327 Chevy can make power why not a 318? Yes it has smaller heads (in most situations) Low compression (unless you got an early one) and probably has a 2 barrel intake and shitty exhaust manifolds (performance wise) but rebuild it...

    Small Blocks

Probably so. 73 340's ran pretty good but they were pretty anemic compared to the 68 and newer ones. 73 was the last year for the 340 and everything got a 318 or 360 from there. The 360's were built like the 340's of that era. Heads, cams, manifolds, etc were interchangeable. The 360 would...

    69 Dart 360 exhaust

I used these manifolds on my 69 360 barracuda. They work great. I have power steering and brakes. I used stock exhaust pipes I ordered from Waldron. You just have to make sure you order the head pipes for manifolds you are using if you go that route. The 72 to 74 manifolds are the ones I used...

    Magnum Heads On 340

I have seen threads on this forum with this discussed before and I believe the EQ heads have extra casting material around the ports to allow 340 manifolds to seal. The magnum heads from Hughs may also have the extra material.

    [SOLD] 71-74 340/360 Exhaust Manifolds

Nice set of 340/360 exhaust manifolds. Looks like these fit A-body with the passenger side also fitting B & E body. They are cast numbers 3418623 & 3614368. The passenger side has never been drilled for a heat riser so you don’t have to deal with it rattling around or rebuilding it or just...

Will Sanderson shorty small block headers fit on 1970 dart with power steering?

Will Sanderson shorty headers for 340 1970 dart swinger with power steering? Friend found a set cheaper than manifolds was was thinking of putting them on her car. Not race car, street car cruiser.

    69 Dart 360 exhaust

Worth it is an opinion, depends on if you plan on doing more mods in the future. Why not use the 74-76 360 A-Body manifolds? They are much cheaper and flow pretty well... [FOR SALE] - 1972-74 OEM 340/360 HP exhaust manifold set

Doug's headers not fitting - frustration

Damn, was hoping you found a solution with the headers. I have Dougs installed and am about to attempt to install the column in a couple weeks. Glad you found an overall solution for yourself. Sometimes it's best just to do what it takes to get it back on the road.

    Magnum Heads On 340

You also have to grind on Eddie 318-340-360 RPM aluminium heads and manifolds. I did a little on each, so as not to have to grind to much in heads or manifolds. It is due to the fact that they used the same casting as late heads where there is a threaded port below the manifold for smog cheap...

    340 vs 360 confirmation

...depends on engine combo. If you go with TTI exhaust with manifolds then decide later want headers you can pull head pipes out of H pipe and swap in shorty pipes to hook to headers. Thats what I did I used to run 340 manifolds then when orig eng got replaced with stroker eng switched to...

    Exhaust Manifolds

A little off the original point... I have been curious for a while which if any factory 340 exhaust manifolds flow better. Or are they all pretty much the same.

...on my Barracuda. So put some on my fox body and they sounded terrible. So swapped on Dynomax Super Turbos on the fox body which turned out great. With 340 manifolds 2 1/4 outlet going into 2 1/2 TTI head pipes, I ran that combo once, something like a Dynomax Super Turbo should get rid of...

    69 Dart 360 exhaust

...if it was me; I would get the 340 ones, cuz later, to get your power-numbers, you will for sure need headers, and then you can sell the 340 manifolds for the same or more than what you paid for them. Whereas, selling the less popular logs, bought from a store, you will take a hit on them...

    Thermostat Housing sizes

So would a 1970 340 be the right application for this size? Again I have the dimensions but everything is based off application. Also I noticed that the opening in the manifold does not have any lip. It’s all flat. Is that how the stick manifolds are as well?

    Exhaust Manifolds

I bought a pair of '68 340 manifolds at Carlisle in 1995 for $175. That's about $350 in today's money. Given thirty years of diminishing supply, prices are right about where they should be. Stuff costs money.

    Edelbrock LD340 WTH?!?!?

Performance aside, the LD is one of the prettiest manifolds for it's day. If only Mopar would have contracted it for the 340 production line like Chebby did with the Winters foundry for their performance engines.

Real talk: exhaust manifolds on 360 Dart

In an A body? I don’t think there are any 360 manifolds (driver side) that fit an a body. That being said, I bet the 340 hp manifolds would show +- 10 hp on a mild 360 over the 360 manifolds, and both would be down 15-30hp on a good set of headers.

68-71 340 was most desireable exhaust nmanifolds .But I wouldnt pass on the dirt cheap ones you have lined up... but now you know why they are dirt cheap. and I second ditching teh headers been there done that also.
