    Pintastar??

I would think it does. A friend has that exact car we have been working on, off & on for a few years now. I will try to find out for you exactly (Measurements) where Chrysler put them on the lower right fender if you'd like. Car was bought right here in Morrisville, Pa.& was mostly an original...

Spindle deformation is caused by what?

That has to be an inner wheel bearing failure. The seal rides further back on the shoulder, and the inner race should be seated against the lower section of that. That looks like where the roller for the wheel bearing would be, so maybe a roller backed out of the cage? Still problematic...

Is this the correct hardware for pin style calipers?

Have tried just as you suggested. No good.

    Pintastar??

Mine did have one on the right fender only. I remember seeing quite a few back in the day the same way. Right side only

Is this the correct hardware for pin style calipers?

So ,as in your case, if the pins were from a 73 as well as bracket the 70-72 caliper can be used. Thus my pins, as stated earlier, do not match the bracket so bracket is incorrect or the pins. Threads are not stripped. Have tried both good pins in brackets.

1968 Dodge Dart GT Sleeping Beauty?

Attached bottom of both front fenders. Let the blocking begin. Over a gallon of high build primer. 320 grit. I need to do some research on how much to sand. The dart doors and fender have up to 5? flat plains to use to block. I am taking it down and when I see a dip or rise I stop in that area...

    Hurricane Helene

Here in North Georgia, Helene was slightly worse than the storm we had on Wednesday, maybe by 50% more rain and wind speed. Wasn't great to have them back to back, but most of the Atlanta area is ok except for a few spots of flooding and downed trees.

After you check the threads. Take the calipers off and see if they will thread in there.

New episode of what's this part ?

She was disabled and lived in St. Petersburg, not far from the beach. She only had a carport, so they weathered(rusted) pretty quickly. All her children and inlaws pitched in to buy her a new one every 2 to 3 years.

Curious front end issue. Ideas wanted

Realistically it probably doesn't make a difference. I like to have them in because it means the LCA torsion bar socket is going to be located exactly like it will be when the car is on the road. But it's pretty unlikely the torsion bar will move it much, because they won't slide in if they do...

4 Headlights or 2 Headlights; opinions needed.

How many of the people you're in traffic with do you guess might know you're doing something other than stickin' your hand out the window? Legal, maybe, but it sure does raise the likelihood of getting hit. Me, I'd rather put whatever effort it takes into making sure my lights and signals work...

Spindle deformation is caused by what?

It was advertised as a 73. Confirmed the measurements for a 73 spindle. Has me at a loss as to what could chew a groove that deep. If it can't be seen, there is a deep lip on both sides.

    E body brake conversion confusion

Ok, I replied in your other thread. In the future it's usually easier to keep your questions that are on the same topic in the same thread, because I wouldn't have seen the new thread until you replied to this one. And now your answers are going to be in two different threads. Just food for thought.
  27. 72bluNblu

Is this the correct hardware for pin style calipers?

The pins look the same regardless of year. They will all be the same length, so that doesn't help. If the threaded section is a different thread size/pitch that will be almost impossible to tell in a picture. You will need to measure the size/pitch of the threads for both the caliper brackets...

Thanks. I knew the torsion bars didn't need to influence things.
  29. 72bluNblu

Spindle deformation is caused by what?

Are those '70-72 E-body spindles? Because if they are, using the 73+ inner wheel bearing will do that. The bearing has a larger inner diameter so loading the bearing pushes the seal against the spindle and backing plate.
