A friend showed me one of these a year or two ago and I "had to have one" so I bought my own. I had never seen one until then. I bought the Mopar "M" one too.:realcrazy:

FWIW I bought some vintage DC chrome valves off eBay that had two coats of engine paint, each different colors and looked it. I hit them with Easy Off follow by mothers metal polish and they came out like this:

Had hoped for years that a reputable resin manufacturer would do it, but alas, never happened. A lot of fly by nighters DAMHIK. I miss the original AFX n scale resin or whatever it was. They had some great parts. IIRC, it's been a long while, the Revell part was bigger than the MPC or Lindbergh...

If you haven't done so already, Google the vin and see if any threads or for sale ads on the car from long ago. I'd definitely would also check out hamtramck-historical.com and see if any info there.

I'm no expert on Connecticut Mopars, but in my 40 years, i don't recognize it, at least from the Hartford area. Nice score though.

Out of curiosity, what's so special and different from the LA one?
