Speedometer not working on 64 Barracuda.

The speedo never worked in this car when I bought it. I've finally starting messing with it and I don't know if it's bored out or if the cable just isn't the right one. I thought it should be square, but this one looks circular.

    Hurricane Helene

We're near the SC/GA/NC border. We took a beating. Luckily no major flooding in our area but lots of trees down, power out probably for days yet. We have to go travel a bit just to get cell service and power/internet to stay in touch. Our prayers go out to everyone that is dealing with the...

What intake do you have now? I am of the belief that not all combo’s will benefit with that swap.

What would you build if limited to 372ci - with boost as an option

That's shorter than a small block, that would be unreasonable lol, nearly 1 inch shorter. The stroke you mentioned 3.100 with a 7.100 rod bbc journals and a 1.320 ch piston would work with a standard deck height block with .010 to deck square. Fairly lightweight and rev to the moon, put some -1...

1968 Plymouth Valiant First Gen HEMI

A quick update on the AC. I got the ducting run and although the heater hoses and AC lines have yet to be built/connected, I was able to test the unit and check for the volume of air that would come out of the vents. I’m very happy with the results. There’s good velocity coming out of the...

What would you build if limited to 372ci - with boost as an option

lol you know I hate math but I’ll have to run the numbers. Pulling the numbers out of my arse I’d say a 9.000 deck would be about as tall as you’d want it.

Did I really mess this up? Rough alignment issues (uneven tie rod length) after steering box and spindle replacement

Gentlemen (and ladies), I would appreciate any thoughts on my situation. Car is a 1969 Dart Swinger 340. I Just replaced manual steering box with Peter's BAC Borgeson unit, and the spindles with Cass/Doctor Differential spindles for Stage 2 disc brakes so I could move up to 5x4.5 bolt pattern...

Self-centering (or lack thereof) in park and camber / caster / toe settings

There is a little mention of it in my 72 manual. Which manual are you looking in? Valve body out of adjustment. If vehicle leads to the left, move the steering valve housing up on the steering housing. If vehicle leads to the right, move the steering valve housing down on the...

    Anti Freeze question

It probably is. But my car is a street car and that coolant is legal for it. So NHRA can suck it up and clean it up. And you are less likely to have a leak using Evans coolant because it does not build pressure. If the coolant is on the track because I hit the wall, caught on fire and backed...

We drove Mr. Buddy's truck into town today for the first time since getting the new engine running to put gas in it. Old man can shift that Muncie purdy dang good. It didn't get over 140 degrees the whole time, except when we cut it off. lol

what are you using for headers in your hemi A body?

Thank you for that. The 2 1/4 are real hard to fit. The TTI come coated with Flanges as well. Those look like nice race headers though.

    Anyone know anything about Subarus?

Well, we will look into these JDM motors a bit more, it seems to be quite the business in North America importing engines from Japan, from all makes, i assume because their only allowed to keep their cars on the road for 10 years because of emissions laws i understand? But there are subtle...

Self-centering (or lack thereof) in park and camber / caster / toe settings

You removed and reinstalled the steering box right? Might have just bumped the valve in the process. It doesn’t take much. I wouldn’t think changing the o-ring would do it, but maybe the steering worm gear shifted a smidge when you did that.
