Oh, I agree this is a terrible idea, and I'm well aware that it is going to be incredibly front heavy, and it will indeed need a lot of reinforcement. I'm tired of seeing cookie cutter builds, and no one's swapped a 5.9 Cummins into a Duster....for good reason, but still.

If your headers are Doug's or TTI, the flanges are pretty fair/true, and seal on regular header gaskets very well. I've always used the header gasket supplied, or Mr. Gaskets with great success, if the flanges are true. Never needed " Remflex" .

With boost and a late firing event, combustion pushing merely straight down, I would bet these engines would handle way more than most think. High combustion/compression pressures take heavy tolls.

That is alot of weight vibrating on a tiny 1/8" thread. I think a better mouse-trap would be to mount gauge and sender on the firewall, and run a line from the engine block up to the gauge.
